I think I remember articles saying they were taking July to work on the disc, hopefully out by the end of the year.

Dinosaur Jr have been added toATP Nightmare Before Christmas in Dec ’06, would be the perfect show to debut/promote new material… ;) ???

Hopefully we get a DVD before christmas…

Holy Fuckin Shit!!!! I’ve been checking the ATP site everyday to see if they would be announced, so after a great day looking at art galleries in London I come home to the best news ever.

That is gonna be the best weekend of my life, Dinosaur Jr, Sonic Youth, Melvins, Stooges…. i couldn’t have asked for more

and yeh the dvd is taking the piss and when i asked Lou about the album he just said he was really excited about it and they were just gonna see how it goes over summer

I don’t like Zepplin because of Robert Plant, his voice really annoys me. The only songs I like are Black Dog and Over The Hills And Far Away but your right the drummer is amazing. I hate the way that it’s ‘cool’ to wear a led zep t-shirt, I see so many posers wearing them. I would rate Sabbath as one of the first greatest bands rather Zepplin but thats my opinion

I just watched Stephen King’s IT and I was really let down. I had watched it when I was a kid and pennywise the clown scared the shit out of me but it was just… :-

I still think it’s my favorite stephen king film though

I know he’s hated by a lot of people but if it weren’t for old Kurt or "Nevermind" i wuda been a totally different person, probably a "chav" or a "townie" or a "jock" wateva you call them wherever you live.

Yeh I feel exactly the same way, I wouldn’t be the same person if it wasn’t for Nirvana, they saved me from becoming a sheep like all my friends when I was alot younger. Thanks to them I’ve found alot of new bands and met alot of new people so even though I don’t listen to them anymore I’ll always have a huge amount of respect for them.

When I started to play guitar I learnt every single nirvana song but it takes me a while to remember them now. The only tab book I ever got was alice in chains – dirt and it was really helpful for the solos as I sucked. Then for along time I just played my own stuff but recently I’ve tabbed out some Dinosaur Jr and I can see a big improvement in my playing now.

I’ve been playing for about 6 years now…. just curious how long have u guys been playing roughly?

I have alot of playlists on my ipod but they’re all huge so it’s hard choosing 10 but…..

Dinosaur Jr – Raisans – This was the one that stood out most for me on YLAOM when i first heard it and I really related to it. It’s my most played song to date with about 200 play counts

Butthole Surfers – Kuntz – This is the funniest song I have ever heard, it gets me evertime :D

Sonic Youth – Cross’ The Breeze – This is Sonic Youth at their best for me.

Alice In Chains – Would – After my Nirvana craze this song got me totally into AIC and is such a special song to me

Soundgarden – Burden In My Hand – This to me was the last grunge song and it’s my favorite of their last album

Mudhoney – Get Into Yours – It’s not a hard desision for me to say this is my favorite mudhoney track although i love all their stuff this is special

Nirvana – Sliver – Reminds me of when I was really young prentending to me Kurt infront of a mirror playin my air guitar ;D

Melvins – Sweet Willy Rollbar – I don’t have a favorite Melvins track cos I love all their stuff but this definetly rocks

Smashing Pumpkins – Bury Me – The solo on this song blew me away, Billy Corgan is a really underated guitarist in my book

Screaming Trees – Alice Said – Just a beautiful song, never get tired of it

I realise theres alot of grunge here but it’s not all i listen to, thanks to lookin through this site i’ve been introduced into alot of new bands like Swervedriver and MBV and theres loads of other bands i listen to too. Hopefully one day soon I’ll find another band like Dinosaur Jr that I can really get into, has anybody got any recommendations that you think I may like?

My 2 favorites are, Leeds Festival and Freakin Live, just look for gigs in your favorite era with ratings of about 8 if you want a good sound quality. One of my other favorites is 24/09/91 Paris, France, although the sound isn’t amazing I really love it.

Kurt Cobain and Slash were the main reason i bought a guitar when i was about 11. My favorite guitarists apart from J are Jerry Cantrell, Thurston and Lee, Kim Thayil, Jimi Hendrix, King Buzzo, Billy Corgan. I admire Kirk Hammets solos but I’m not really interested in that style.

Yeh i got physics exams on the friday and i’m leaving straight after it, then i have a maths exam on monday which really fuckin sucks. So i’m just going for friday and saturday because as you said Sunday is completly shite, i don’t have a camping pass so i’m gonna have to stay awake all friday night which shudn’t be a problem, when I saw AIC announced i decided to ditch my exams

I don’t know to be honest, i’ve only ever seen them on Ibanez’s and those types of guitars, but from the photo it looks like it’s made by fender so my guess would be that they’re original. Has anybody seen a fender with tuning lock before? It just seemed alittle strange to me, you should ask your friend.

I’d like to meet Jon he sounds like a great guy, is there anything else he’s giving away ;) ;D

I think the allen wrench is a tuning lock so ur guitar never goes out of tune, those 6 little nobs should alter the tuning of each string but only a limited amount. So you should unlock the tuning lock on the neck and get the guitar in tune then tighten them up, then if u have to make any adjustments use those 6 nobs to get it perfectly in tune. I’ve never seen them on a strat before though

I’ve always liked How’d You Pin That One On Me, Muck is the one I don’t like on green mind then probably Flying Cloud although it has grown on me alot more, I don’t skip it anymore
