I would love a copy of the faulty cd, can anyone get one now or did they pull them all?
I may know someone
A quote Murph just made on the new album.
“It’s a very loud record, really loud and it doesn’t sound as good on low volume,” Murph said. “The louder you turn it up, the clearer everything comes through.”I ripped the files as lossless wavs and opened them in protools and it is mastered very loud but it doesn’t clip and there are some parts that aren’t totally blocked out. I got the american release though. Wouldn’t think they would be different unless they are mastered and distributed from europe directly.
Picked up. Cool poster
June 19, 2009 at 6:47 pm in reply to: Anyone notice that J mentions Amma in the Fog but never Dino #135245so you got the album, it came in the mail today but wouldn’t fit in the mailbox so I have to pick it up tomorrow. If I didn’t already have a copy I would be pissed. I waited till about 3 weeks ago to really look and as soon as I started it became available. But I could have probably contact someone closer to the band months ago but wanted to wait.
Why were they taken down. And I don’t know why they don’t have another NYC show near the release of the album. There are 4 shows within a 2 hour radious in Cali but only a Brooklyn show, cmon. ANd there should be another show near the central park show for those who might not get in. And I hate webster hall where they might be playing in November.
The best version of Severed Lips I have heard recorded was from Freakin Live in 93. Around that time I saw him play it with a wireless mic and he walked around like a crooner singing it like Frank Sinatra or something and then at the hard part he banged the mic into the guitar strings, dun, dun, dun, dun. It was the most expressive and open I have seen J be vocally. He had his blue jacvket and cowboy hat on. The show was probably the best I have ever seen. His eyes were glowing purple like he was possessed and there were 13 glasses of whiskey on the stage. At the first reunion show I got them to play it but lou broke a strong and it kinda fizzeled out.
Who knows who it will be, I did see the Fog for the Jazzmaster event recently and Murph was in the crowd and I talked to him and he was bummed that J didn’t ask him to do it. I don’t know who it will be but definately not Murph or Lou.
It is drop d, watch J play it.
Where You Been
Green Mind
YLAOM

Farm
Beyond

DinosaurI have to edit, at least with the recording I have, beyond sounds better overall than Farm.
No, JLH is one of my favorite songs and the first one I ever heard on the Blind Skateboarding video. i grew up wwith the Cure version and when I heard that it changed my life. I like Show Me The Way but nowhere close.
Congrats. Me too a couple of weeks ago for $8000 shipped which is better than the $1300 list price now.
I took it as being more spiritual. Not plans like some other activity to pursue but more of a purpose.
What from that song makes you think he is talking about quitting music
