bump
I have seen him play feel the pain, over your shoulder, mind glow, grab it and I think yeah right. But it is true I haven’t heard any in a long time live. Basically he plays a couple songs from each album. As time goes on, he plays the most popular. Also he always has to teach the drummer and bassist the songs so they only learn a few at a time. There are 59 Dinosaur Jr. album songs and than B-sides and covers and like 20 fog songs And he plays usually 14 songs so its a good percentage.
Yeah Anthony go on and get um. There really is no point in trading when freesofree has every J show I have ever heard of being taped.
Was the other song maybe Tarpit which I think they had only played once. If not don’t tell me because I would love to be suprised next week when I go in NJ and NYC.
Remember, J often uses a capo on like the 2 or 3 fret.
Here are the lyrics, I’m not good at TAB though
Bobbin’
Oh, give me some will
oh, help me be still
oh, just wait untill
oh, give me some willoh, help me be still
oh, give me some will
oh, just wait until
oh, help me be stillI got lots of doubt
I am lost without
Been a painful drought
I can’t live without
Know what that’s about
Your on my mind, mind, mindSomething to change my mind
Something I need to find
I’ve been left behind
Gotta heed those signs
Again to let it slide
It would be a crime, crime, crimeYou’re on my mind, mind, mind
Oh, give me some will
oh, help me be still
oh, just wait untill
oh, give me some willoh, help me be still
oh, give me some will
oh, just wait until
oh, help me be stillOh, give me some will
oh, give me some willSo I don’t know if there is any official freakscene thing going on for the November NY shows but I am thinking we might try to play that weekend if anyone is around. Maybe at N6 in the basement before or around the block if we can.
No he didn’t say that its just my opinion. He always said he wasn’t a big fan of touring, plus with a band he ends up losing money often. It could be the change in name but things started to go down with Hand It Over too. But for instance he played in San Diego with Dave Schools and if I hadn’t told my friend he would have missed it. There is just not that much publicity.
I have the ALien Workshop and Blind videos, with DIno songs on them.
I think he still has a place in NYC. Because I have seen him twice now on 34th street which is relatively near Grammacy Park where his apartment is.
Oh and I didn’t vote I don’t think which would make it 7 to 5.
Because only a select few can know the truth. Thats the way it has always been.

I had emailed J’s management seeing if they could get him to open for the Pixies in NYC because it was with Mission of Burma and they are all MA bands, and Maybe have a Dino reunion in support of the rereleases but I am not sure if J would want to do it and I don’t know if the other guys are going to profit from the re releases so they may not want to. But I think anything is possible and they have been together more lately. It seems to me like J is more focused on Louisa and Amma and playing with other people and stuff to broaden himself which I think is great but if there was a little more publicity like the pixies show it would really help boost his marketability. I know so many people that don’t even know there was a second Fog album. It seems as though the following gets less and less when it could be growing or at least rejuvinated. Anyway, For this other show we are working on I am sure Evan Dando or the Lemonheads might be down to open. And Juliana hatfield, and Sea of Cortez or Mike Watt’s projects. Or if not a reunion how about Sebadoh who I heard might get a drummer and fully reunite and J and the Fog, not just accoustic stuff like North Hampton and bring the old fans back together and quash the old separation. We should really see if we can orchestrate an awesome bill. Maybe even try the impossible and get Kevin Shields to play or Ride who cancelled their opening for a Dino show years ago, I have heard they have played accoustic together. It would be a shoegazer revival. Just dreaming.
"crazycloud" wrote:hey genius what does a lung do??? hmmmm that would be a good place to start… it helps if you play with play-dough while you are thinking about it too.If you break down the verse into a sentence. THe breathes or breeds is related to the lack of an ability to collapse something, the it. Not the lung. So the words could be it kills the doubt in everyone, or it raises the doubt, anything. The verb doesn’t have anything to do with the lung. Doubt is something that breeds it doesn’t breath. This is a question of J’s pronunciation, not grammer. If you thing this one is hard pick out some of the songs on bug or peebles in weeds.
