So he’s playing younger and older Ozzy? I can see him maybe doing the old man version but how is he going to pull off young Ozzy?
Loobie updates yet again, says Dino album is almost complete and talks about the Sebadoh reunion. Sorry if this has already been posted somewhere…

If we’re including those songs as well, I have to agree with you. I think that song is really cool musically but I think the lyrics are pretty low quality overall.
"Another Girl Another Planet " wrote:poledoI’d agree that this is probably my least favorite. I listen to it sometimes but I usually skip it. I skip Don’t a lot too but just because I’m usually not in the mood.
Also, if they count, I don’t really like Feel a Whole Lot Better or Lotta Love.

hopefully we get a DVD release date to add to that calendar soon!
ps-just noticed it was just Dino Jr related…whoops

isn’t there a certain guitar players b’day on Dec 10

That’s right! He’ll be 41 this year, making his birthdate 12/10/1965 right?
Lots of trick-or-treaters at the house. We bought two bags of candy expecting to have some left over and ended up giving away 5 bags worth. We turned off the porch light early because we didn’t want to have to re-stock a second time. Next year we’ll get 6-7 bags I guess….or make sure we’re gone all night.
While I’d certainly welcome a few more b-sides, I’m not sure those two need to be reissued. They are late enough that the sound quality and production is already pretty good on those albums so there’s not really a need to polish up the sound like there was with the others. Personally, I didn’t think WYB needed to be redone either. It sounds better I guess but did it really need to be reissued? Green Mind and the three SST records, sure, but the later stuff shouldn’t be re-released unless they plan on adding a lot of new material to them.
So who’s standing in the flowers? Anyone know the answer to that?

Oh, I mean Lou’s songs, not J’s. I agree that anything J does is pretty great so I’m not worried about those tunes

I still really want to hear J do "Like a Hurricane" by Neil Young but given that he hates all the comparisons he gets to the man, I doubt it’ll ever happen.

Message from J
I am sad to lose some old and irreplaceable guitars, most of them older than me. One was a prototype for my first signature series Jazzmaster which Fender is putting out, and some old trusty guitars that survived my house burning a few years ago. Sitting in the rubble of my basement after the fire went out my main Jazzmaster was completely black from smoke and singed by the fire but when I picked it up it was still in tune. I’ll miss em.
Another update by Lou. He says one of the highlights of the summer was singing backup to J’s songs for the new Dino album…
"BetteDavisLies " wrote:Hand It Over is definetly not my favorite album either.. I don’t hate, but I rarely listen to it and even then I find myself skipping around to hear just a few tracks. My favorite on that CD would probably be Sure Not Over YouThis is me too. There are some tracks I love but to me there’s more so-so tracks on this album than on any of the others. Still, Alone, Loaded, Gotta Know, Sure Not Over You are all worth it.

I’ve been way off on the lyrics before though. Will have to revisit.
