i sort of agree with your comments. You’re Living All Over Me has the best lineup of classic Dinosaur songs, imo. but i just don’t really like the end of the record. i mean, i like all the songs on the record (even the previous Show Me the Way cover), but its just not how i really wanted the album to end.

But originally Poledo was the last song. Show Me the Way was thrown on when they put the album on CD I think. I think YLAOM is probably their "best" album objectively speaking though I personally like WYB better.

After Make Believe, I’m not surprised. What a terrible album.

I do like Blue, Pinkerton and Maledroit and thought Green had its moments. I just hated the last one so much I’m sort of glad they’re throwing in the towel.

There is a dinospace too I think. It is definately not J’s.

I think the Dino one is legit, though. It’s fairly new and only has songs re-released on Merge posted for listening.

The interviewer described J as something like "Cranky, stoned on pot, eating a Domino’s pizza from the box positioned on his chest so as to minimize the distance between the box and his mouth".

I’ve read a few that describe J as "sloth-like" which I think is a really good description. I love the guy but watching him move across the stage does conger up images of a sloth.

Yeah, the Counting Crows thing is weird. I think this is the first interview that talks about J’s vocals without comparing them to Neil Young’s. Instead, it’s Adam Diritz!

Good read, though, J seems fairly candid but he always does like talking about his gear.

I’ve tried it a few times and I’m probably where you are. I always write a line or two that I like and try to build a song around it but then it goes nowhere or in a day or two I think it’s the stupidest thing ever. I’ve thought a lot about why this happens to me but other people are so proud of their less-than-stellar songs. I think it comes down to me being more self-conscious about what others are going to think. I over analyze my lyrics to a point that I can’t help but hate them. I’m pretty sure songwriters just have more of a "I don’t care what they think" attitude about it than I do.

I’m not about to go back and read this whole thing but how on earth did we get to 6 pages in 2 days? That never happens on this board!

Most of the time, there isn’t a towel hamper at peoples’ houses so I just hang it up so it’ll dry quicker. I just assume it’s my towel while I’m there and they’ll wash it when I leave.

What grosses me out is smashed bananas. I get a gag reflex every time.

Is this a general playlist, favorite songs, autobiographical?

But if it’s "see you in the lodge, Flying Cloud" it makes sense. It would be like me saying "I’m going to keep skiing but I’ll see you in the lodge, ammaringnyc." I may just have to listen to the song again.
