Interesting. I’d like to try some of that beer.

I’m a big fan of sounds and strange effects, but this one just doesn’t tickle my fancy.
But anyway, it’s good to see that people like it, because if everyone felt the way I do it would make for pretty shitty times.
I’m still really excited to see Dinosaur Jr. though, I’ve seen J. a bunch and I ran into him at a couple shows (Ian Mackaye and his new band in Worcester and Morrissey in Boston) at the Ian Mackaye show me and my friend asked him if their would be a Dino Jr. reunion (this was right before J was playing a show in north hampton alongside the likes of Lou Barlow) he said there wouldn’t be one because no one could find Murph. Then at the show there was a Deep Wound reunion, god that made me happy.
anyway, I’m digressing.Wow, you were at the show where they reunited Deep Wound? That’s awesome! After reading a couple of stories of you guys hanging out with J and the band, I’m hoping I get that opportunity at the Boston show. I doubt I will but it would be so cool to have a drink with the boys.
Murph rules. I’m no drummer but the drumbs on Tarpit are amazing.
I really hope nobody is screaming for any post-Bug songs at the shows I go to. If they are I’ll be sure to tell them that Dino isn’t going to play them.
I don’t mind it so much. I noticed the effect on the TV performance and thought it made the song sound a little choppy but I also liked that it sort of changes the sound a little. If J just got up there and played every song exactly as it sounds on the albums it would be boring. That said, I hope he doesn’t use it in every song.
Wow, what a great read!
Thanks for posting that. I guess that answers the question of what J thinks of George W!
Welcom to Freak Scene! Your discovery of Dinosaur Jr. is very similar to mine but I didn’t get into MBV until much later and have never seen any version of Dino live (have seen J + The Fog twice, though). Thankfully, that ends on July 15th in Boston!
I just looked at the store again today and it now links to the Jurassic 5 merch page. Interesting. I know Dinosaurs are from the Jurassic period but beyond that, I don’t see the connection.

Hopefully I’ll be getting my Boston tix today as well.
6 more weeks….
I got my Covington, KY tickets yesterday.
It was a close call. I moved over the weekend and had to call Dino-ticketing to change my address. My package was on the pile to be shipped that day and the guy helping me had to pull it off and write my new address on it. I’m not sure I would have gotten the tickets at all if I’d waited another hour to call them.

I don’t agree with ripping stuff but when it’s material you can’t find anywhere else I make an exception.

He probably picked them up the same time he bought Murph’s drums on eBay.
