I tried to go see it the other night here at the 40 Watt, but moving into a new place has proved to be a big pain in the ass and spare time (outside of work..haha) has been a thing of the past.I wish I lived in a city cool enough to have this playing somewhere. I’ll probably have to wait for DVD and even then it’s a stretch to think any place around me will carry it.
Maybe Lou and Murph are "the Fog"!!!!! Oh wait, that was the Spaceland show.

http://www.sfbg.com/39/31/noise_bulbs.htmlI agree with this: "Years later, the thing that stands out about these three albums – and Bug most of all – is that Mascis’s lead guitar playing is fucking violent and awesome and thank God they remastered this stuff because you can finally play the records as cripplingly loud as they were meant to be played."
I don’t like the way he talks about J’s later work with Dinosaur Jr. though, Where You Been and Green Mind are brilliant albums and Without a Sound and Hand it Over ain’t bad either.
Yeah, that’s the only thing I noticed that’s totally missing (or maybe turned down really far) from the older version of YLAOM and included in the reissues. Other than that, it’s just the general sound quality improvement that makes them good. ‘Dinosaur’ is improved a lot I think but I don’t think you need the reissues if you already have the originals. They’re just nice to have.

Love black flag too.Minutemen though if youre not into them, you must get into them. Buy double nickels on the dime and listen to it over and over, once you love it, buy everything. Definetely tied with dinosaur jr. for my favorite band ever.
I borrowed a Minutemen CD from the library when I was in high school or something. I remember I just didn’t get them at the time, all the short songs and whatever. I think I’d like them now though.
I’m in agreement with NCDan. For me, at least, I’ve been saying for years that I would pay just about any price to see Dinosaur Jr. live (thinking it would never happen) and now I have that chance. I’m going to two, possibly three shows (come on ACL festival!) but wish I could see more. I never had the chance to see the original lineup, if I had I might feel differently, but I don’t have mixed feelings about the reunion at all. My favorite band in the world is back together and I’m going to get to see them live! That’s amazing! New Fog material will come eventually but we may never get a chance to see this lineup again.
That said, I think most, if not all of the people on this board are pretty stoked about the whole thing.

So its over there for your downloading pleasure.Man I wish I had a home computer. I don’t feel right downloading this stuff at work…
I would also love to get my hands on the Deep Wound stuff. I’ve never heard it!

Are we really debating if AFI is better than J Masics? I haven’t heard much of their stuff but come on!

Thanks for the answers though, guys! You know, I used to feel this way but it’s actually become my favorite on Dinosaur. I love the changes between screaming "Bulbs of Passion" and the really catchy, melodic part. Anyone else feel this way?

I haven’t gotten to Dion’s chapter since I’m trying to read it in order. It’s killing me though, I may have to read their chapter out of order.
