I’M GOING TO SEE DINOSAUR JR LIVE!!!!
By the way, 4 tickets with shipping and service fees totaled $124.35. Not bad considering what service fees and such usually tack on to the price of tickets.
Your driving from Indiana to Boston?
Not if I can get cheap plane fare. With gas prices as they are, it’s probably even cheaper to fly. I’ll probably be taking that day off of work but I’m not sure how far of a drive it would be from here and I’d need to be in Boston by 7.
"petey" wrote:I’m right with you. I actually think it’s pretty outrageous. First, the raw price of the ticket is STEEP. But fine, they want to cash in and the Pixies got away with charging high prices, so Dino can too. I can get past it. But to have the ticketing agency ONLY allow you to buy the tickets via UPS for $7-$8 an order, that’s just ridiculous, borderline abusive. I sent them (the ticketing website) a feedback email about it, and they responded with a very bland statement that UPS is the only feasible option because it allows them to track receipt. Well, for all their faults, ticketmaster and ticketweb ship tickets out over regular US Mail all the time. I would encourage anyone who feels ripped off by it to email at http://dinosaurjr.baselineticketing.com/corp/contact.php”>http://dinosaurjr.baselineticketing.com … ontact.php or info@baselineticketing.comMaybe also send email to the band contacts listed at dinosaurjr.com
I’m all for those guys cashing in finally for the good music, but be reasonable.
It does seem like Will Call could be an option, I’m not sure why it’s not. Either way, this is still WAY below what Ticketmaster would charge and I’m fine with the cost of shipping especially since I was able to combine the shipping of two shows into one shipment. I’m paying about $1.88/ticket for my four tickets which I can totally live with.
I’m going to the Boston show and the Covington, KY show. Living in Indiana, there aren’t many options for us Hoosiers. My brother is interning in Boston this summer though so it’s a good reason to go visit him.
I’m definitely going to try to make the Boston show. My brother’s going to be out there this summer so I’ll have a place to stay or, rather, another excuse to buy a plane ticket.

[Paraphrase]Interviewer: "Are you into pyrotechnics, that sort of thing?’
J: "Yeah, sure."

I’m finally getting around to ‘Our Band Could Be Your Life.’ I’m trying to read it cover to cover but it’s really hard to refrain from reading the Dinosaur Jr. chapter first.
I already have my tickets to this festival so I’m really, really hoping they play it. Lineup is announced on May 5!
Where You Been is what got me into Dino and continues to be my favorite record from any band, ever.
Here’s my list favorite to least:
1. Where You Been
2. You’re Living All Over Me
3. Bug
4. Green Mind
5. Without a Sound
6. Hand it Over
7. DinosaurOf course I love them all, though.
Thanks for posting that! This sounds a lot more like the J I’m used to hearing. Some of the other interviews I’ve read make me doubt the interviewer was actually talking to J.
April 20, 2005 at 3:57 pm in reply to: Fakejazz.com reviews Dinoasur Jr on the Late Late Show #108997I originally thought it was "no way to collapse the lung, breathes down in everyone." You all converted me to believe it’s "…breathes a doubt in everyone" but that’s as far as it goes, I still say it’s "no way" and "breathes."

"ammaringnyc" wrote:I heard the band Alaska wants in on some of the shows. 2 of them were in Sebadoh at some point. That would rock. I loved their first album. Haven’t heard the new one yet.
Thanks for posting that. Really cool to hear Lou talk about J like that. What I wouldn’t give to be at some of those loud practices in the early days….

I hear J has been recording some new tunes and we can expect a new Fog album next year.
Awesome. Dinosaur tour this year, new album next. It’s a great time to be a fan!
