Maybe they`ll play Neil Young`s Like A Hurricane at the Hurricane festival  :)

If I could hear Dino cover this song it would be the greatest day of my life. My favorite Neil Young song and perfect vocals and guitar for J.

I’m personally more excited about the reunion. As long as I get to catch a show, I’ll be happy. I didn’t have my hopes up that they’d record any new material together (it certainly looks like the won’t be) but if they were to record together again I’d be more excited about that than a new Fog album. Not so say I don’t like the Fog material, I do, but to me it’s no where near as good as the early dino stuff. Also, I thought Free So Free was a pretty big disapointment overall. I hope whatever comes out next is an improvement.

I was a little confused by that as well. Kracked is sort of an obscure tune, really. Of course, to the mainstream, all Dino songs are obscure so one’s not really more preferred than another. If they just listened to the CDs and decided from there, I’m kind of surprised they didn’t choose Pond Song or The Lung since they’re probably the most catchy and least loud of the old stuff.

Yeah, the interviews are sort of disheartening. It sounds to me like they’re just doing it for the money and J and Lou are just going to try to tolerate each other for a while. Then again, they are doing a reunion tour so I can’t really complain. I just wish both of them sounded a little more positive.

It’s really hard to limit the CD to 80 minutes while including stuff from every album. As far as Start Choppin and Drawerings go, I’d include them if I didn’t have three from Where You Been already. Goin Home was the first Dino song that hooked me, I prefer Get Me to Drawerings overall but love both songs and What Else is New is my favorite song of all time so that has to be on there.

I saw it. I was flipping through the channels in college and saw them jamming. I was shocked! Then I saw it was the Jenny Jones show and couldn’t believe what I was witnessing. Anyone remember what the topic on the show was that day? DNA tests or spouses cheating or something?

So they’re not playing on Letterman, right? Just the Late Late show?

Yeah, totally agree. I saw them live together twice (the only two times I’ve seen J live) and loved the way that song sounded live. Definitely superior to the CD version. Gave it more of the intensity that only Watt can bring.

remember when you had to buy boots? good early show. the cd is only one track which one shows you how old it is and two is annoying as fuck

I bought a bootleg of some show in Colorado from ’96-97 that had three tracks and had three songs crammed into each track. Good show but it really was annoying.

Really? I’ll have to do that as well. I never noticed before the reissue.

it’ll be good to see lou and j on stage again, but realistically i’m sure it is for the money. who can blame ’em? after seeing the pixies tour it’s a good way to make some cash…plus lou just had a baby and he’s practically begging people on is website to buy merch. nyhoo, it’ll be cool no matter what the reason. i can’t wait. :D

Lou basically said this in an interview late last year or early this year. Said something like, "I just had a baby and could use the extra income." Certainly can’t blame him for that and I’m just glad I’ll get a chance to see them.

This is excellent news! I’m absolutely stoked! They’ll probably play Freak Scene, Raisans or Little Fury Things. Freak Scene might be out because he says "fuck" a couple of times.
