There’s not a chance they’ll come through Indianapolis so I’m hoping for a Chicago show, Detroit show or Cinci show. If not, I’m planning on going to Austin City Limits festival in September so maybe they’ll go to that. If none of the above, it looks like I’ll be flying somewhere.
Me neither. Used to drive me nuts but it is just a cover after all and covers need to vary a little from the originals

That’s not easy. ‘Just Like Heaven’ gets the edge today but ask me tomorrow and I might say ‘Show Me the Way.’
I have a really good feeling about this

The Freak Scene Video is nice too. kinda weird, but ok nonethe less.Interesting. I think this might be the best of the reissues. Dinosaur obviously sounds TONS better but the feedback that bridges Kracked and Sludgefeast on YLAOM totally rocks! I’d never noticed it before on the old version.
Yeah, Freesofree has helped my budget tremendously. I used to be a total sucker for stuff like this on Ebay.
Interesting article. It seems almost unanimous that critics see YLAOM as Dino’s quintessential album but this guy only gives it 3.5/5?! I think that’s the lowest I’ve ever seen it rated. It’s also interesting how much he raves about Bug in comparison. To me, they’re almost equal but YLAOM has the slight edge.
I agree with him on ‘Dinosaur’ being a little fuzzy probably because it was mastered from vinyl. The live version of Does it Float is really cool because it’s from the very early days but the recording quality is quite merky. Still, I give them all 5/5.

I just did the free shipping option. I ordered them on the 11th though so it’s been several days assuming they were sent within a couple of days of placing the order. They must just be rewarding us who are preordering by getting them to us early or something.
A few of us have already received them so you should have them even sooner than the 22nd.
I received my little bundle of joy in the mailbox today. March 17 currently ranks as the best day of 2005 for me so far and that has nothing to do with it being St. Patrick’s Day.
Of course, I already own all of the songs but still, it’s nice to get something "new" relating to Dinosaur Jr.
Spoon is that big of a deal?! I mean, I like them in all but to be considered a ‘special guest’ at a rock festival with so many bands seems sort of lame.
I was all giddy on my way home from work yesterday because two of you had received your CDs. Mine didn’t come, however. How depressing. Hopefully they’ll be there today. Tell me, how much of an improvement is the sound quality on these versions? I’m especially curious about Dinosaur since they lost the masters and had to remaster from a vinyl copy of the album.
I think that’s the most talking I’ve ever heard of J doing in an interview. I’m having a hard time believing it was really him answering those questions

So if we order them separately are we entered three times for the signed LPs?
"appleo" wrote:>Little Fury Things has always been the opening track for You’re Living All Over MeI never said it wasn’t… "Just like heaven" however I don’t think came out til "Bug". My German pressing of "Bug" has a bonus 7" with an acoustic "Throw down" on it. I am pretty sure the "just like heaven" single came out after Bug. The artwork is more like Bug as well. The b-sides ("chunks" + the electric "throw down") are awesome
You’re right. Wow, I totally read that wrong. Sorry about that, I think you might be right about Just Like Heaven. I always sort of thought of Show Me the Way as the YLAOM cover song and Just Like Heaven as the Bug cover.
