Wow, the lack of old songs really surprises me. No Freak Scene? Maybe they figure everyone who wanted to see them play those songs, saw them the first time around.

To me what make Hendrix so great and widely considered the best ever is his influence on music after him. No one played the guitar as loud as Hendrix or relied so much on pedals and feedback until he came along. I’d say if it weren’t for Hendrix, we either wouldn’t know J Mascis or his guitar playing would be wildly different.
