I have to disagree again but I love a good debate and am willing to "eat crow" when need be but that said…
I am not sure but I think you mean fanaticism, and if George was a religious fanatic then he would not have been elected. Religious fanatics are not trusted by most Americans. Again, he uses religion, his own brand, so that he appears to be a spiritual person.
Any true follower of Christ would need to be against the death penalty. What part of Thou shall not kill does he not understand? Most Americans are not spiritual people, they practice "fast food spirituality" Go to church for one hour on Sunday, throw a little money in the basket, let others see them doing it then go home to their televisions and other pleasures.
If you study any kind of power tripping people many of them have said that "God" is guideing them. Only the stupid would refuse to question that. I ask God for guidance each day before I walk away from my bed, God has never told me it would be a good idea to put someone to death."Rich" wrote:did you start up that
CHRISTIANS FOR KERRY slogan yetFortunatly, here
in Athens we have a nice Friends or "Quaker" group, the Friends are are followers of Christ and are anti-war.
Catholics are anti-war (as it is not pro-life, causes death etc.)
some other anglo christian churches are also outspoken anti-war like the 7th day adventist, they as you may know are also vegetarian. So as Maxini said "Bush is driven by religion" I have to disagree, he has many who call themselves followers of Christ but who still fall into the old Paradigm of "Fear" Christ tried to show the way of no fear. Look at his death on the cross. If you are a fear based person then you will be wanting to buy an assult weapon to protect your family from the Arabs. Which is where many Americans have their "mind set" A good test for a true Christian is to see if they are pro-war, one can’t be pro-war and also pro-Christ, it just doesn’t work. Bush can screw with Christian ideas to warp his position, like gay marriage, I am against gay-marriage, I am not against anything gay, I mean, I have a few great moments with other women myself
, but we don’t call this union a marriage, if we need laws to protect gay couples with mutal real estate holdings or life insurance than we need those kinds of law, but don’t call this a marriage. It is not only many Christians who are dim-witted, it is just as many other Americans who have never sat down, turned inward and prayed. We all need to enlighten ourselves, many people on this planet are just stupid, I am 1/2 stupid so I speak from experience. Hey and while Kerry is cool, he’s no knockout, but money will rule if we don’t nip this in the bud.
P.S. I had to edit. If you need futher proof of the stupidity of human kind just look at Sandanistas post above this one. Or you could check out this news piece from a baseball game last night.Texas Rangers-Oakland game turns ugly when player hurls chair at fans

More PhotosOAKLAND, Calif. (AP) — Texas reliever Frank Francisco threw a chair into the right field box seats, hitting two spectators in the head Monday night, as Oakland Athletics fans taunted the visitors after a two-out, top-of-the-ninth homer tied the game.
One of the fans, an unidentified woman, was bloodied and her nose was broken.
Dude, get real, the fans were taunting him, that is so stupid, if you can’t handle life then go lay on the couch and pray and ask for help.
You can’t just go out and break noses.
My husband said to me "All wars are resource wars, Dummy"
I didn’t know that, I guess if I spent more time playing "War Craft" type of games.

Very nice pants,FC, wow, lets see I bought a pair of maternity pants, they have a big elastic panel in the front, and I don’t think I will include a photo.

He might have been very loud in his dinosaur days, but is he still much louder than everyone else?I agree, the last show I caught (40 Watt) was not loud to the point of damage, the 40 Watt show two years ago was louder. I am happy with the new level, it is still loud but……………………I am getting older and I think with that comes wisdom ( I hope ). It is also true when you think guitar, you feel that force in your third eye chakra and of course in your ears, head etc……………. The bass is much lower in your navel chakra and below, so I see how the bottom of the lung could feel that pressure. I was driving my car and parked at a stop light several days ago and a fellow pulled up beside me who had his bass on so loud that not only was his car humming and shaking but the cell phone between my legs started to vibrate so much I though it was ringing. I have to say I hate that, I feel so violated when forced to listen to others music that loud when stranded at a traffic light.
Athens must beware
A hurricane approaches
Our trash cans may fly!!!!Those are great little snippets of J. I still have trouble getting over the fact that he is not under the influence of some sort of narcotic drug. I had a few heroin years of my life when I lived up north and every guy I knew on smack talked about like that. Wow, I would love to know if he sounded like that in grade school.
My husband will have a new understanding for J after listening to the golf piece. In fact he is golfing as I write this, on the 12th, I just called on his cell to see if he would be home for lunch. He golfs with a few guys and they have a membership to some fancy club outside of Athens but they always want to play at the "Crappier" greens because as J says in this old interview, everyone is smiling and happy. My husband is Colombian with long hair, and he does get some looks at the "club"
He also will appreciate that J says that he is not really that good when it comes to golfing. My husband says the same, some days he comes home just hysterical with laughter over the days score.
When I ask him what he likes best about it, he says it is relaxing and just as we do when we dream, in some ways he works out pieces of his life while playing. I had fun listening to this stuff while cleaning house.First Georgia home game tomorrow, GOOOOOOO Dogs!!!!!!!!!!
Quote:bite your tongue!!! Such words should never be uddered…
Your right, perhaps I’ll just stick to never ride a motorcycle.
If my lungs haven’t collapsed by now then perhaps I passed on the strong lung gene.
and J is not anymore!!!

September 2, 2004 at 12:45 pm in reply to: is everyone on holiday ? it’s so quiet around here … #104674Robert, I am sure my husband is not familiar with wolfenstein but it is not only peace in the middle east that he would like to have, it is also peace in the middle south portion of his body. Like on a daily basis, like AM and PM if possible. Okay, I am supposed to be painting chairs. Back to work!!!!
September 2, 2004 at 11:49 am in reply to: is everyone on holiday ? it’s so quiet around here … #104672Robert, What is Wolfenstein? A blow job?!? You sound like my husband, when I complain that I think he has a sexual addiction he says "NO, I’m just a regular guy, we all want the same thing" I guess so.

Rich, as you know I have already answered that question to you in private but to answer the question in Public, yes, she is very married, and her new Father in Law is the CEO of a very well known company. The money tap flows wide open in her family. They all( her family ) took the last flight on the Concord. They were at the opening show for the olympics in Sydney and in Athens, and thats what they do just for fun. I spent the weekend with her though and the downside seems to be that once you start plastic surgery, there is just never enough perfection, you keep wanting to go back to the doctor. My sister, who is perfectly healthy as far as I can tell, is young (36) and is on like 4 different medications, I can’t think of a time in the past 10 years that I have been on Any medication. To me it is really a BAbYLON REALITY. Oh, and she justs LOVES George Bush, I got to hear all about it this weekend. I hope she doesn’t stop that medication any time soon because well, George Bush might start to look scary to her. I could write a whole paper on the "J is more interested in Luisa and Amma" but I will save it for another time. My first reaction to that was "Well, yeah" why not enjoy love and love. :slap:
August 31, 2004 at 8:27 pm in reply to: is everyone on holiday ? it’s so quiet around here … #104666Rambleon and all, I have to let you know that Mercury is in Retrograde, this happens about three times a year (average) and lasts about three weeks, during the second half of a Mercury retrograde the environment seems to stand-still. There is a hush effect. Check out this Haiku that I wrote for Freakscene during the last Mercury Retograde.
