I have been so busy and so pregnant and so hot that Freakscene has been so far removed from my daily list of "to do’s". I thought I would chime in on my Amma experience. We have a handful of friends that follow her around. Two friends have gone to India to stay for several weeks at a time. One, Laura Rose lives with Amma and comes to Athens just to see family. My good friend Moses Siregar brought back a wonderful photgraph of Amma for me, she is playing a drum and has a wonderful smile on. I think that I have no desire to stand in a line and be hugged by her although all hugs, real ones you know with chakra exchange type of energy, are wonderfully healing, as I know her hugs must be.. I think it is a calling. I see her beautiful Mother energy coming through and that is an inspiration. The same inspiration I get by hanging out with the Virgin Mary, the Blessed Mother, Mother of Divine Grace. I think female Mother energy has been so lost in this wacky material world and I think for me Amma represents "Getting down to what is really real" As for the stare thing, I know some folks get really tired of Astrological stuff but I had to laugh out loud at Rambleon’s question "Yeah, Whats up with that staring thing" because, everyday we hear some other child complain that Anna is staring at them. Even the adults in my life have asked me "Why does she sit and stare at you without saying a world" I have never read anything in an atrological book that says that December children are more prone to staring but it has been an issue at this house. I think the stare is just an observation without restraint. How many times in life to we observe and then turn away, like when we see someone suffering but do nothing. How many times to we observe and then forget like when in prayer I hear the voice of God, or my higher power, what ever you want to call it, telling me to stop drinking coffee in the moring, and I think to myself that is a good idea at the same time running to get my coffee first thing in the morning. Perhaps the stare is just an observation.

Anthony, I think windowpane is a referance to a substance that might encourage the visitation of Gnomes. Robert Anton Wilson talks of those " little men" in his books and I have seen/felt them in my garden, they are especially fond of pepper plants. Crazy Cloud said his Gnome ( probably a Mascis type of vibration ) gave him warm vibrations. However, this is all just conjecture on my part as usual.

Rich, I got an E-mail saying you had put me out. I know we don’t have any issues so I am confused. My husband suggests you may have a girlfriend that is bothered by things of this nature. I hope everything is OK. :?

Thanks for all of the ideas for sweets. The children don’t have to watch the calories as much.

I bought groceries for a family of 6 if you include Anna, 7 if you include Oscar, who is of course on the way. Cost for 1 weeks worth of groceries about $185.00.

rambleon, Anna, as you know was in England and then she went over to Scotland. When she came home the temperature was in the 90’s here and very humid. She came down with a terrible cold. She did turn us on to having tea in the afternoon and we have been trying to do that on a regular basis. My husband and I are both good bakers and Anna keeps pushing me to make something to have with the tea, yum-yum.

Yes, Capricorns, even the ones who have plenty of money love to divide the tip down to the penny. Never ask them to borrow their car either, "Day be like are you Kiddin’ or What?" My only sister’s husband is a Capricorn. Michael Stipe and Mike Mills both Capricorns. I was drinking with Mike Mills in NYC around the "Out Of Time" era and the tab(his idea to run and pay for tab btw) ran over $500.00, for eight people or so. When it came time to pay the bar said the only took cash! A very drunken Mills said "Cash, I don’t have that kind of cash do you? "
What a fiasco!!!!!! We had to do three separate ATM machines (including mine!!) at 2 am. When you mention this night he says he remembers the night but doesn’t remember trouble with the tab. I thought I should add that most people in Athens try to treat Stipe and Mills like you would any friend (normal) and so in turn I think they reciprocate the favor.

Is shifting units selling albums? I should clarify, fire signs certainly have interest in making tons money it just, most often but not always, seems to be low on their list of "Things to do" Oh, I have 2 Aries brother-in-laws they are twins and both cared nothing about making lots of money until they met the women of their dreams, both women have pushed those boys to work it hard and keep the bling-bling flowing. Some women can do this for men but unfortunatly I am not one of them, money just seems to come and I don’t get uptight about it. I am looking into your chart btw, rambleon. My children are going back to school in 3 weeks, , :D , We had a really great homeschool year but the whole time I kept wondering if I couldn’t pay someone to teach them, so I put them back in Catholic school and we are doing the run around getting things ready.

We have heard that show "I love the 90’s’ being pushed on the radio here. Last September we saw "I love the 70’s and 80’s" in a hotel room. We had fun watching them.

Last night I got to see 60 minutes. My husband has had a little J disatisfaction for several years now and I have had a Jerry Garcia problem. I think after many years we are both starting to come around. Back to the point, I saw a show on the Grateful Dead last night on 60 minutes and I was surprised how much J and Jerry remind me of each other, the exception that Jerry is dead. The other members were talking about how he had no interest in pushing or promoting himself. He enjoyed playing music and getting paid for it. He really did not care how his albums sold as long as he made money touring. When business consultants were brought in he never followed their advise. One major suggestion was to get rid of tapers because the consultants believed that they were hurting album sales. Instead of removing them he gave them their own section. Both J and Jerry are fire signs and they seem (like me husband) to have a passion for music but not a whole lot of interest in making tons of money. I could be wrong I don’t know J personally but my husband did work with Jerry selling his artwork so I got the idea that he was like most fire signs, directorial but fairly laid back about it.

Just because somethings been around for awhile doesn’t make it right.
                    .

I had to say something that will sound funny, , the whole spare the rod spoil the child thing does work, really well, only the concept has been perverted by man (ie all of us) This is very important and Jesus spoke of it often, how greed, lust, envy, ummm our unelightened human nature will always rule over (and destroy) us if we don’t stay in contact with the spiritual. Even as y’all know, Christianity has been perverted by the people, from a very beautiful, peaceful, graceful way of living, perverted by people who were reading the words but not following the walk. SPARE THE ROD, for instance, a good sheperd NEVER (NEVER,NEVER) , hit his sheep, he used the rod to protect the sheep, to keep the sheep out of danger, from walking off a cliff, or to pull that sheep closer to him esp. the young ones who were not as wise and tended to stray. SPOIL THE CHILD, to spoil means to make rotten, rotten is no good, you have to throw it away, it has no use what so ever. The whole idea behind this saying was if you do not give guidance to a child, you are going to end up with (a piece of crap ) something that needs to put in the garbage can or (compost bin because God always gives us another chance to do something really good) it had no connection to hitting, un enlightened humans took this beautiful concept and turned it into something ugly. Now, we have many children, well, for instance, I have a few brother in-laws, whose idea of a great life is to have both parents working when the children come home from school (one for instance lives in a $450,000 Mc mansion, as we like to call them and still sends his children to public school (to save money) This is Georgia, we have the WORST, school system in America, and this is not my opinion, this is statistical FACT. This is not Canada, or Vermont, or even Ohio. When his 2 children come home from (Georgia public) school they sit and watch Jerry springer on television, or go to their room and check out pornography on the web. They are getting no spiritual training, and our soul (spirit) needs to be used as much as our mind. They are making c’s and D’sin school, I mean WTF, so they have a lot of money, they can give each kid his own computer in his room. All of the school shootings, if you look into the families you see none of these kids had GUIDANCE from the very beginning! You can’t take a 13 year old and say, gee it is time we started getting close, that has to be done at birth, with breastfeeding, and holding and kissing and singing to, and praying with when they are scared, and at Christmas time, teach them that we have children out in the world who get no presents, ask if we can take one present from their wish list and give it to a child in need, we have done this every year, and it is one of my childrens favorite holiday traditions, this brings lasting joy to them, a toy may break after a few weeks, or you tire of it, but you never lose the happiness you feel in your heart when you have helped someone to be happy. How many parents are enhancing the character developement of their children? Not enough!!!!! So, it is true if you spare the rod (guidance), you spoil the child. I am sure most of you also thought this saying had to do with hitting, but I am lucky we have a large group of Gnostic Christians, and Gnostic Catholics in Athens who have seen through the smoke and dust created by humans. On an wild note we are leaving to go to White Water, we did the water park thing for the first time a few years ago, and it is way to much fun.

I should be cleaning my car, I am using computer as Ultimate escapism, I just today found this, to chime in, I think that if we hit children we they have upset us , it teaches children to hit when they are angry. Maria Montessori has many ideas when it comes to disipline and punishment for improper behavior. Children learn to handle frustration if they see us handling such. I have become angry with my children and I have raised my voice, which by the way, can be fairly upsetting. My husband was raised with 4 other boys and says that his parents did not talk things over with them, they just smacked the crap out of them. He is a very loving man and very close to his Mother. I think the biggest problem , the thing that breaks my heart, is to see children with very ignorant parents, in the south we see that often. Perhaps the rest of the world does also. I try to bring myself back to a wonderful piece of Proverbs that says if "You put Love first in everything you do the right way to act will always be shown to you" this has always worked for me with my husband and children. Okay, time to clean the car.

I noticed that a few of my favorite old CD’s have vanished from my collection and last night I made a copy of a friends Rem "Document" CD. This morning I woke up worried, I feel like a thief, It’s July, and I didn’t buy it, I ummmmm stole it.

Hey just today I came back to this topic. Well, the whole Pink Floyd idea esp. "Meddle" was BECAUSE we had all eaten or drank so much that we were unsettled. We were at my friends Joel’s house many years ago (before children) and we were all so drunk and stoned. Our Friend Chris Blanchard, now a lawyer here in town, went through Joel’s CD’s and found "Meddle". Our whole Athens gang was there and from that day forward we associate "Meddle" with that terrible feeling you get when you know you have crossed the line in what your body can handle. It came from our highschool years, sitting around in someones basement unable to move, feeling as if you were going to throw up at any moment. This has been a running joke now for over 12 years, at any gathering, when most have left or fallen asleep (we don’t call it passed out now that we are grown-up) the few that are left will put on "Meddle" it siginfies that it all has come to and end, and Pink Floyd in general tends to be an expectorate, very medicinal. It makes those who seem to be completly asleep, come out with a "Oh, God, No" I am always up cleaning wine glasses and putting up food so it could be my own form of torture.

The baby, ahh, I am already in my 5th month, I was sure that this baby was coming the first few days of December but ultrasound says he will come Mid-November. My others were all over 2 weeks late so it should be interesting. I am still fighting for "Oscar" the children want to name him "Kai" I like "Pablo" My husbands father (Whom I adored) was named "Alvaro" We are undecided. My last child Tiger Liliana was un named even 10 months after her birth, , we were calling her Liliana but had not yet gone to the state records, in Atlanta, btw, 1 1/2 hours away! They sent us a letter saying her name would forever be Baby Girl Villaveces if we did not act before her 1st birthday. Of course after that we could have changed it but would have had to have a lawyer! I don’t want to go through that again. My quotes are screwed up, what am I doing wrong?????????

So funny, I know a fellow who I will call D. D. and he was visiting with me right before the 40 Watt April show. We started talking about Dave Schools and he got really pissed and was expressing the fact that Dave Schools is the biggest asshole in Athens, such a mean, cold guy. He told me I saw Dave be so mean to a group of people after a show once. Juan my husband said just the opposite, he said Dave is the kind of guy you just want to hug, he’s vibe is so easy and happy. At the show I asked Dave about the night D.D. saw him be very pushy and mean to some fans and he told me the only time that happens is when he is sitting backstage and someone sneaks in and comes right into his room and expects to be greeted as a long lost friend. He said it really irks him . He told me it happens alot. Dave and J can usually be found after a show without having to sneak in a backdoor. J was putting up stuff from the stage after the show and then (I was told, because I went home to bed) made a cell phone call from a park bench on the sidewalk, in front of the club at about 3:30 AM.

David Letterman is something I do miss. I am always happy to be at a friends house and get to see a show. I wanted to include this top ten list, because I got to see this show a few weeks ago. Of course the list is funny when Dave speaks it himself, but this one had me rolling in laughter.
