TONY…….. %-(
You haven’t been sitting in the Sun enough man.
J has more than one peddle?….HOW DOES HE DO IT?
Drumming tutorial (of sorts) features a LESSON on the judicial use of the cymbal. : =D>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bXKboDqiSbE
also has gassy/trippy guitar and near the very end of the song, Jimmy Page doing a strange Smashing Pumpkins type of sound (like the 1 only sound they had). I hadn’t heard him do it before just like that…but then again, I don’t always listen very closely to music.
What brought me to this song today? Thinking of the exuberance one has when they smash a glass against a fireplace (I got to do that once..and I still remember the good feeling) sort of like breaking the glass at a Jewish wedding. Then I thought today 😕 , how damn good it would feel to smash a chair through a window…but unfortunately I would have to clean that up and replace the window so I scratched my head and thought…what could give me that same sort of HIGH…then it came to me…divine inspiration like…just put on “Whole Lot of Love” REAL LOUD. It worked….. :D/Honestly, I do really want one and I am kind of curious if you can plug anything else into it. If I get one….I’ll just put it on a shelf or something (because the little monster is cute) and if someone asks what it is…I’ll tell them it plays the songs “Freakscene” and “Feel the Pain” if you push the buttons in the right order…Does it come with directions?
Ammaringnyc..you lucky!
Yup, now I want one….How much are they…more than $27. fid’y? I don’t have an electric guitar do you know if you can you plug other things into it besides a guitar?
October 11, 2011 at 7:02 am in reply to: Price I have paid for getting the kids to go and see my music. #138542I was supposed to put this in open topic…and I think I didn’t…upppps..sorry!
it happens in the first 25 seconds so you don’t have to watch the whole thing.
and some of y’all share FB friends with me..so if you are in on the secret 😉 …don’t spill it! [-O<After seeing the Meat Puppets the other night, I’ve been on an Earth Sign guitar player kick…Earth Signs don’t try to be too fancy, they tend to have (imho) a more thought out….methodical style, often focused on tone. Oh, the sweet sounds that they can produce….so one of my “had to go back to” this week is a favorite guitar player of mine Tadeausz Nalepa….a Virgo in astrology. So this is the song that is thrilling me this week (among several others) Hands in the air for the Earth signs…y’all keep it low key but we know what you are saying. (he,he…Jimi Hendrix is an Earth Sign, I don’t know if you can see the low key there but I do, actually just kidding there is nothing low key about the way Jimi Hendrix plays, I suppose there is always an exception in astrology (lol) no Earth sign subtlety there)
Holy CRAP….I out of curiosity I decided to pull up Jimi Hendrix’s birth chart to see “what on Earth” could have caused him to be so “jacked-up flamboyant” ….I’m not kidding, Earth signs like Capricorns are not known for that sort of “over the top” kind of loud and distorted (noisy) thing…was it a funny moon or an rising? and I found out…he was born a Sagittarius (November 27th) not December 27th as I somehow have had in my head for like 30 years. That’s really funny because when you watch this video…you kind of go….that’s just nuts…for an Earth sign.
You can lend your car to an 18 year old Earth sign…and more than likely they are going to return it in perfect condition and with added gas as a way to say “thank you” (I have a Capricorn nephew and a Virgo daughter) but you don’t lend your car to an 18 year old Sag…they might not be coming back anytime soon. I sure wouldn’t have lent my car out to this guy playing the guitar in the Hendrix video. If he be driving like he’s playing that guitar…the car might look different than you remember when you see it again.

OMG….I had this song on a mixed tape. Seriously it was a mixed tape that I played really really loud when I was pissed and wanted to like torture my all male co-workers….I don’t have the tape anymore but I found a notebook with all the songs listed in it a few weeks ago and it was so great to go on the internet and listen again to those songs. Here is another one….that’s just as good as Crack Attack. Poogy…great name. Need to put Murph up on a table like that. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTPD70-e-w8&feature=related
I guess I’ll put a dog in this fight. At my first job out of college I played this at work and drove everyone CRAZY! Oh, the memories…that’s why it would be so great to see J do it……unplugged!

Seriously, I’ve never since and probably never will come across music that makes me feel so bad, sad, nervous and stressed out. I’m sure that’s the intention. In the ’70’s my Mom had a flip out about movies like The Exorcist and Halloween. She asked over and over…”Why would someone want to make a film like that?” “Why do they want to sell depictions of evil acted out” “What purpose is it serving?”
My sister and I would laugh and remind her that it was pure entertainment built around a fear reaction in the viewer and people enjoy getting that sort of an adrenaline rush and trying to UNDERSTAND it was a waste of time.. Now that I’m older…I’m having more Mom moments in my life and Upside Cross was one of those defining moments for me…as I was listening I was like “Are you fucking shitting me….Good God, WTF? “That’s music that’s not good for you or any living person to listen to.” It must be entertaining live…I guess I don’t need to understand it any further . If you were feeling kind of down…I’m not sure if you would want to go and find some Upside Down Cross to listen to. It’s so hard in an uncomfortable way. Life is stressful enough…L O double L. It’s like having a forced panic attack or something. 🙂Don’t think anyone was laughing at the mention of death….to much other stuff to laugh about with that video…I know it’s making the internet rounds but for this guy to stand around outside in the bad weather and say…”people who are outside in this weather are setting a bad example” that’s pretty freakin’ funny.
It made my “mommy meter” go way off the chart!
You sort of want to say..”shut the F’ up” but Mr. Red Shorts did that in his own special way.Girl……….ahhhhhh. Sorry about no power and the water. I was just bitching this morning about all the storm hype…but I’m glad you’re good. I suppose it’s like when we get 1/2 an inch of snow and it shuts down the city for two or three days….a Cat 1 storm, while dangerous with…falling trees, flooding, down power lines does not produce the “death and doom” that I think the media was “hoping and praying for” When Ivan, a Cat 5 came through Athens, 3 UGA students died because they decided to do some “white water” rafting in our local little river…for fun…at the height of the storm and they were sucked into an intake drain. That said..Weehaw…I wanted to share this video with you, it really reminded me of home….college students, alcohol and Irene. The commentator is trying to make the situation one of “danger and fear” and well, just keep your eye on the guy in the red shorts…I think he deserves a huge shout out for full frontal nudity on the Weather Channel…Thanks Virginia!
August 21, 2011 at 4:30 pm in reply to: Look what some nice person forwarded to me today….J’s birth chart. #138461I was in a hurry this morning and forgot the Mike Watt info that I wanted to post about. The page/website that has J’s chart and a little info section at the bottom and it says….In a relationship with _________ “Mike Watt”…..why Mike Watt was chosen for that line, I have No idea but…when I read it, it was a laugh out loud moment because two Sag’s together are like “Ernie” from Sesame Street living with another “Ernie”. I imagined Mike and J in a bathtub singing “rubber ducky” because everyone knows that Ernie is a Sag and Bert a Capricorn. Two Ernies = too funny. My Dad’s parents were two Sags…OMG, they were the funniest Grandparents to have.
August 21, 2011 at 11:14 am in reply to: Look what some nice person forwarded to me today….J’s birth chart. #138460Artemide, I love you already…that’s the beauty of Gemini as well, ruled by Mercury, we are known to be mercurial and I can fall in and out of love in a week but that said…I love you…at least the you that comes across in keystrokes held together by 0’s and 1’s on my computer and I’ll never have to buy you a Christmas present and I’ll never have to wait until the children go to bed to engage you to walk out to the garden with me so I can point my finger and yell at the top of my lungs that I’m so “tired of this”….Awww, isn’t it nice! 🙂 You know, it’s hard to say what I think about Mike Watt because I only “know” him from videos with J and other like videos….and only 2 performances live. He radiates the “happy hermit” Sagittarius vibe to me. I know a few Sag fellows in town who have this vibe. They live alone with their dogs on the outside of town…and I’m always trying to get them to marry before they get to old. One is a drummer that I’ve mentioned here on FS and although he (his family) has money, he lives in an unfinished uh, shell of a house (he calls it his cabin) with his two dogs and the other friend sold almost every material thing he had and bought an airstream trailer and lives in the woods outside of town. They both smile a lot, are intelligent, funny, love animals, enjoy music and art, are well read and both have their land “paid for” (no mortgage) I’m always trying to find partners for them (they are our age) because I don’t think it’s good to live alone like that. Either one of them could have an accident or something and nobody would find them for days. Without children, who will attend to them when they get really old and unable to care for themselves? Without a wife, neither of them eat well. Both of them actually eat out at restaurants almost every night, unless you invite them over to your house. That’s just not healthy. Brian (the drummer) tells me…the problem with a relationship is that it’s like an everyday thing and he says “I don’t want to see the same person everyday…I just can’t” so I suggested building another like ummm cabin out on his land for a partner to live in and then he told me “Who would want to live out here like that? They would have to be crazy and I don’t want crazy” He,he,he….So, I don’t know Mike Watt, he may be married with kids but he gives off the same “happy hermit” vibe to me that these two guys give have. Upbeat, lively, great friends, good conversation, great sense of humor…blah, blah, blah all those Sag things but for some strange reason they don’t want to commit to a relationship even though they are getting old. So all Aquarius and Libra girls, who would like to live out in the woods with a Sagittarius man can apply here with me…and I can try and hook you up! 🙂 Especially the Aquarius girls…cause Aquarius can relate to all this much better than anyone I know.
Wow, I want to talk about Keith Richards, I had no idea he was a SAG…but I’ve got to run out the door…YIkes, I should have left 10 minutes ago. I’m so glad that you are here, a Gemini Dragon (born the same year) and a Dino/J fan….AWESOME. Are you married? I’ve been married to a Leo for almost 21 years. Although, like most marriages this long..somedays I feel like banging my head into a wall….Still, I couldn’t have picked a better partner. He’s the greatest for me, Intelligent, tall, handsome, Latin….and a wonderful Father to the kids.
