Yeah, I’m fucked! I live an hour north of Madison, WI, and well, there’s no way i’d make it there. I had to pull some serious strings at work to get this day free. This sucks so bad! I hope no one is harmed in transit, and PLEASE someone post a setlist tomorrow!

I first read the "I had complications" part, and I freaked out, but I can’t believe you got almost all of it on video. Thank you so much in advance!
please someone get that up on freesofree. I’ve tried to get on dime for so long, never works out.
they opened with quest. The rest was really no surprises compared to the other shows other than the wagon, but I have no idea about the order.
I am sure someone will post a full setlist soon. I know what songs they played but I don’t remember the order. However, they closed the first part of the set with one of the best versions of sludgefeast I have ever seen. Then the first encore was just like heaven and freak scene. The second encore was as J said "a little song about Murph, called Mountain Man." Sweet show.
oh shit, they’re gonna play THE WAGON! I fucking know it. I know Lou loves that song, and they tried to work it out during soundchecks. Would you think these will be the last two shows though? I mean they’re going to these cities to do full sets there as opposed to the limited ones they got last time. do you forsee more? I’m not sure that I do.
The issue is about the spirit of the club. Â It’s not about the appearance or the bands or the merch. Â Is the spirit still there? Â If not, then tear the fucker down for all I care. Â The future of music, and music in good venues for that matter, can’t rely on blasts from the past. Â If CBGB’s doesn’t feel like CBGB’s anymore, then it should dissappear. Â I just don’t know who can make that call. Â I haven’t been to the historic shows. Â You’d like to think that the owners could decide if the spirit is dead, but if it’s not dead already, when would you say it’s dead? Â It seems like bands that play there get a high off being on the same stage as THE RAMONES!!; they’re not adding to CBGB’s, they’re just sucking out whatever life is left. Â I think they’d be better off playing a farewell show. Â It would be true to punk rock to have a farewell show and then burn the place down; a sort of "If we can’t have it, then no one can" idea. Â Unfortunately, it seems like the fire already died out a long time ago.

I’m 80% sure Lou had a uke stashed with him on the midwest leg of the tour. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if POLEDO was attempted in its entirety.
For what they had to work with, dino kicked out an awesome set. Audio is up now on freesofree.net . I think this show sounds great. The banter is good as well. Also, this drunk guy yells at J halfway through the set to play raisans. You can’t hear him yell, but you can hear J tell him "we already played raisans." They played it just a few songs earlier. Good show. Good recording (in my opinion).
For Minneapolis, the show was at 5. Dino’s soundcheck was reserved for 1-3pm. J was there on and off between 11:30 and 1:00. I hope that helps, but I also need to say that I don’t think you should have J sign your guitar unless you are a collector. If you actively play that guitar, I think J’s signature would kill any personal spirituality you have with that guitar. It’s just an opinion. I hope people don’t flame me, but there are just some things I wouldn’t want signed.

He dedicated "Forget the Swan" to Mitch at the Minneapolis show. I think all of the setlists that said "Forget tha Duck" are all references to Mitch Hedberg. I have no clue about their relationship though, if there was one.
"King Tubby" wrote:Ministry’s Sphinctour dvd was shot like that — one camera, video cuts from different shows, and the best audio version of a given song from the tour. As the liner notes read: "one camera, 60 shows, no pussies…." It’s a great dvd, too. Nice and raw. That’s awesome. I actually would rather have a raw DVD. It fits Dino’s current style. They’re still raw, but they seem to be playing tighter and better than ever.
The guy has a very strong accent. I would assume he is traveling with the band for the whole U.S. tour at least. It will be interesting to see what gets on the DVD. I’m pretty sure there won’t be a full show from one venue. There might be another taper, but it seems like Phillip was the only one. It’s a tossup as to whether or not there will even be a full song from a given show. They might take the audio from one, and use video clips from all the shows to get more interesting angles. This idea sounds weird, so maybe there would be full songs, but there will be alot of "camera roaming" (no fancy cuts to other angles). Phillip also seemed to get ALOT of footage after the Minneapolis show of various fans/crew members. It looked like standard interview style, probably questions like "What is your favorite song?", "How long have you listened to the band?", etc.
Granted all of this is just me brainstorming, but I’m excited for this DVD, and at the same time, I just want to have realistic expectations of what will be on the DVD. It’s not like a Pearl Jam video recording setup, it may even be just one guy.
yes they did.
