      Actually the jon stewart show was the first time I ever saw or heard of Dinosaur Jr. I tuned in half way through the song and had no idea who it was. I noticed the guy (J) has really long hair so I was thinking hmmm it’s not collective soul because I don’t recognize the song and there’s only three guys.

      I would love it if someone had that on tape and encoded it.

      next time I heard them was when I borrowed the melrose place soundtrack from a friend

      then another friend was learning the guitar tab for feel the pain

      then I found the Without a sound casette tape in a superstore cutout bin.

      the dino played with on Arsenio Hall show was Del The Funkee Homosapien (later of Gorillaz and Heiroglyphics). Dino/Del have a song on the Judgment Night soundtrack.

      I never saw that or the Jenny Jones apperance either.

        whoa, hahah I didn’t know flying cloud was female. hhehehe. I used to talk to her on soulseek some reason I was under the impression that she was a guy. the picture makes more sense now.

          I was really looking forward to the Junos but Neil’s health is much more important. I was so relieved to read that he will be making a full recovery. I was worried that the Neil we know and love wouldn’t be the same after that. I bet Winnipeg is more than a little sad.

          I read "Shakey" and it mentions many times that Neil would fake seizures to get out of shows he didn’t want to play. I don’t mean to suggest anything but…

              it was the b-side to freak scene. great tune. I more heavier live version is on the whatever’s cool with me ep.

              It’s cool that it’s on Bug now but "Don’t" only makes sense as a last track though don’t you think.

                I see something is going to be announced on the 28th.

                What would really make my day is if Dinosaur was a last minute addition to the Sasquatch Festival in Washington. Try to get them into that because I already have tickets

                  I like Just Like Heaven a lot more but I just don’t know if it belongs on YLAOM mind you my reissues haven’t arrived yet

                    I got without a sound at a bargin bin too. my intro to Dinosaur jr. I loved it and it made me want to get the rest of their stuff which totally blew me away.

                    yeah the just like heaven thing is frustrating but then you get used to it and learn to love it.

                      I must say that it’s fantastic that someone who has just had a little exposure to Dinosaur Jr before is now discovering their back catalog due to these reissues. Merge is doing a good job.

                          I guess it wouldn’t be. (no deep wound shirt) I bet I know which photo it is though.

                          Anyway, I just broke down and bought it.
                          only $3 to ship to Canada (and the exchange rate is favourable for me right now too!)

                          reasons to buy these reissues:
                          -great price
                          -expanded liner notes with photos
                          -does it float live
                          -remastered sound
                          -videos
                          -i think my bug had a little scratch during no bones

                          wow this is my 4th time buying ylaom!

                              sounds exactly like things he said in past interviews and what was written in our band could be your life.

                              in that book it says J agreed to not talk about Lou to the press but I guess he can open up now

                                I really want to try get that but I don’t think I can justify to myself buying 3 albums that i already have when I don’t have an income. Hopefully I can just read the liner notes in my local record shop. I do want to hear what the remasters sound liek though.
