is this from god?
Thnaks guys,
see you onlineamazon.ca just bumbed the price up to 35.99
Definetly a no buy from me.
Shit if it wasn’t twice the price of a normal cd I would buy it.can you resume?
is it for music only?"rd" wrote:Ultimatuim is probably not releasing it because they do not own the rights to those recordings. For example, when someone does a John Peel Session, John Peel, or the company/station he works for, owns those recordings and not the artist.so J doesn’t make money from this? It’s going to be hard to justify paying 30 bucks for this when I have the recordings already.
I subscribed to Magnet and they give you a free CD. I put Grand Mal as my first choice and as my second choice I put Liz Phair…
I like the single and "hot white come" is okay. Everything else I’ve heard so far sucks.
Should have put Cobra Verde as my second choice.

Lee sings the verses. (I recognize the voice as Lee and it’s just too smooth to be J) (Weird how they had a guest singer on one of their most famous songs)
J sings the bridge and sings along with Lee on the outro(last verse).
yeah wireless would be the way to go. Since I have a three story condo but I’m too damn cheap. I’ll look around at prices though.
I’m such an asshole. I did some impulse buying today.
1. Thursday (sticker on the cove said "imagine Dinosaur Jr meets a young angry Robert Smith of the Cure")
2. The New Folk Implosion (Sticker on the cover said "Deep Wound >> Dinsoaur Jr >> Sebadoh >> Sentridoh >> Folk Implosion: Lou Barlow presents The New Folk Implosion")
3. Jurassic 5 (don’t know the name of the album but they were playing it in the store where I bought jeans today)
Here’s everything I bought this year so far
portatstatic – the summer of the shark
throwing muses
stephen malkmus & jicks – pig lib
yo la tengo – sumer sun
everything’s ending here (a tribute to pavement)
radiohead – hail to the thief

daniel johnston – fear yourself
the flaming lips – fight test EP
crooked finers – red devil dawn

I’d say kristin hersh(throwing muses) is a pretty damn good guitar player.
Veruca Salt rip it up on lead in the volcano girlz video
good topic I have to go home and check. Lots of Neil Young, lots of Dino, lots of Superchunk
I remember there was an interview or something. Thurston Moore was there too I think. J showed up and everybody was like "Who is this nerd?" and then he started playing and everyone wowed.
I’m sure someone has the article.
what’s wrong with "on the brink"?
I skip shut off bug when "don’t" comes on. I has it’s place but it’s only osmething I can listen to once in a while.
I often skip
Alone
Seems Like the thing to do
Poledo
Mountain Man-these are all great songs (maybe not mountain man) but I can’t listen to them all the time.
I don’t like:
I’m not fine
Bobbin’
say the word (except the instrumental part)freedom has it’s days. some good, some bad.
a bunch of opinions
I think I may be the only person in the world that thinks without a sound is one of the best dinosaur albums and was a great direction for J to go in.
add "Tell the truth" and "If that’s how it’s gotta b" to the songs I like "freedom" and "everybody lets me down" have their days, some good some bad.
I have a problem with the production from Hand It Over and up. Not that it’s "not raw" but that it’s so loud and unbalanced that it’s absoultely not listener friendly. It’s fine for the initiated like us but imagine someone hearing something like this for the first time.
I think the best songs from More Light (Ammaring, all the girls, ground me to you, waistin, same day, where’d you go, back before you go) we’re a peak for J when it comes to songwriting. Great hooks, great compositions, just really well crafted songs. (despite weak lyrics at the end of where’d you go).
