Tom, you found it on soulseek???!!! I searched this morning and couldn’t find it. Lucky you!
It really does sound great. I instantly loved Over It and I love I Want You To Know after five listens. The only one that may be weird is Ocean in The Way with it’s wordless chorus. Farm sounds like a return to the mellower mature sound that I was hoping to hear again since Without a Sound. I love Beyond but this sounds a lot better. Beyond, musically, sounded more like a Descendent or Stooges album than Dinosaur to me, perhaps they had to prove they could do the lo-fi punk stuff.
Don’t kill me for saying this but I have a feeling that I’m going to be ejecting it after track 10. IDWGT and Imagination Blind haven’t done much for me so far.
I just emailed Jagjaguwar to see when Farm will be available for pre-order. I see that you can get the bonus disc on amazon.

September 4, 2007 at 12:50 pm in reply to: 9/11 – Seattle – Brought to you by Camel Cigarettes #131630sure, I’m going alone (my girlfriend is not a J fan). It will be nice to have someone to talk to instead of drinking alone with my thoughts
I got a ticket from an internet scalper. Double the price, oh well.
August 31, 2007 at 12:46 pm in reply to: 9/11 – Seattle – Brought to you by Camel Cigarettes #131626I went to Moe Bar last night and waited in line for an hour and a half to take a smoking survey only to find out that I was in the 25 person waiting for 23 sets of tickets. I would have got them if I hadnt left my place in line to move my car out of a bus tow away spot.
Anyway, I’ll try craigslist closer to the show date but if I can’t get it, tonas, at least report the set list.
check this out, I just got an email from Neumos. You can get free tickets tonight if you go meet the camel rep at the bar. This is a dilemma for me since a) I don’t want to get their crap in the mail b) even worse I don’t think I could BS a real person to believe I was a smoker
I’m actually from Saskatoon (I live in Seattle now, went to the Seattle show). The Odeon is probably too big on a venue for them to have played. I wonder if the show was moved to a smaller venue at the last minute (this is what happened when Frank Black came to town). Anyway, I’d like to hear some review or even just word that the show even happened.
That’s funny. I’m sure J never uses alternate tunings.
I was there too. I think the band was a lot more tight than they were two years ago. Great show! The crowd went absolutely nuts during the encore.
Your set list order is close but Pick me Up was somewhere earlier. I’d say Back to Your Heart was also a highlight, J gets to play some mean guitar on that one. I do wish they played Tarpit, Lose, or Crumble like had at other shows.I had a good opportunity to go backstage after the show but it was foiled (long story).
if someone has those 2 extra tracks hook me up on soulseek
The canadian dates are seriously messed up on the my space page

I kinda got an image in my head of J bashing away at stuff at the kitchen table.
You know, like when you were a kid(or not so much)waiting for the toast.Sounds kind of like a winch winding up
