Eddiie is a big Kurt Vonnegut fan and the whole worms rotting thing sounds like KV’s atheistic ideas

Spiral wrote "kennel district" which is one of my favorite pavement songs. date with ikea, passat dream, two states, hit the plane down are also him.

The PSOI album is not nearly as good as malkmus’ album but the song "the idea of fires" is prime. also try something’s always happen, whalebones, and falling away

I think the byrds do feel a whole lot better better than dinosaur. maybe if lou sang it all and not artie sinatra it would be better.

Here’s one I just remember but no one mentioned Husker Du – Eight MIles High
shit yeah is that a great one

also Yo la tengo – here comes my baby
it’s about as good as the cat stevens version but way better than the one by the tremolos or whoever

I haven’t seen it in awhile but I think it was get me. Mike Johnson plays the first solo on the album so he always plays it live on bass!

                      —-
Just watched it yes it was Get Me but the one I was talking about, also get me, with the bass solo was from the more jammage interview. Mike Johnson rules!

good topic. You should have named it celebrities you would like to take to dinner or celebrities you’d like to hold hands with.

SST had a t-shirt that said "kill Bono" too and another one that says "fuck sony"

I just got the cure staring at the sea, superchunk here’s to shutting up, and the single on vinyl of "just like heaven" With the big sleeve I finally realised what the cover was; i always thought it was a cave or something but it’s a hole in a skull exposing a brain, gross. All the songs are on one side and the other has etchings of brains and birds and cereal boxes on it. Pretty cool

                              den,
I am suspicious of your answer the rest of us bought aerosmith, queen, and new kids on the block and you bought lou reed? how old were you?
                              sorry.

first album I ever got was Aerosmith – Pump on tape when I was in grade 4. I don’t think much of aerosmith today and I don’t listen to the tape because I spilled dr pepper on it the day after I bought it.

The next tape I got was tom petty – into the great wide open a couple of years later, it is pretty damn good

I like the track list pretty good but I don’t think Where’d You Go should be on it. I think what else is new should be there instead because I think it was voted to be everyones favorite song. Going home is the only single that didn’t make it and not you again, in a jar, and budge are the only non-single that made it. I think Raisins and the post should have been there too because i tink they are generally more likes than in a jar or budge
