I thought Koala was opening for this tour according to a cple of posts. But maybe the opening act is different for a few shows. I never heard the band Broken Social Scene b4. Are they good?
YES!!!!
they are beyond good. and quite buzzworthy in the indie scene. They have quite the draw and are huge dino fans. Get their "you forgot it in people album" it is excellent
that was really funny guys

it’s a (well known?) fact that right up against the stage is the worst place to hear vocals

that made me smile, sounds really sweet. the dinosaur jr family

i’m not sure i’ve seen it used before…
please enlighten me
s
he played it in the Latest fog video (schools) on freesofree. my guess is that it’s J’s guitar of choice at the moment.

but I`m liking his voice a little more.hmmm, I never thought he had one of those voices at all. hmm, must say I disagree. Maybe if you only heard warm springs night and the silkworm stuff you would just think he was a screachy guy
"Otto Jr." wrote:J’s hair…I knew he was going grey but did he go for the Marilyn for the Late Later Show appearance?nah it was just the lights on his grey made it look blonde
this year I like
Bright Eyes – wide awake…
Crooked Fingers – Dignity & Shame
The Decemberists – PicaresqueMoldy Peaches are awesome. I don’t like Adam Green’s solo stuff nearly as much as Kimya Dawson’s, she’s great.
Check out Joel RL Phelps. He used to be in silkworm and his music is probably the most emotionally gutwrenching stuff I know, what a voice, and he rocks in a way a dino fan would appreciate
"davidprops" wrote:I wonder if Barlow is really into it. Murph looked resigned behind the skins, but Barlow was smirking and slightly indifferent. His knee drop at the end was forced.I think Lou is acting, playing himself 15 years ago. He’s definetly into it, read his site. They only practiced for 2 days as a band so I got the feeling he was just trying to make sure it went smoothly.
Was this Lou’s first tv performance? or has Sebadoh played Conan or anything like that?

mike w –> give us all the details of what we never saw, did they say anything, what was the crowd like? a get together of dino fanatics.

I don’t know what you guys are talking about, when’s the last time J used his wholoe body when working the guitar like that. it was brilliant.
I’ll agree that the guitar has to switch to louder during the outro but that’s no one’s fault.
April 13, 2005 at 5:24 pm in reply to: Stomp & Stammer.com: Time heals Deep Wound(s) Mar ’05 #108580without a doubt there are only two possibilities
1. furry with a spelling mistake
2. J making a play on words since the song talks about both fury (rage) and furry (rabbits)"lethrneck4" wrote:i thought J was quoted in an earlier interview saying they will play Kracked on the late, late show. i hope so, one of my fav dino songs ever!I like Kracked but not as much as I like a surprise
"arleach" wrote:my first post … but here’s an update …Lou & Murph have been rehearsing in LA for the last week or so. Everything was going swimmingly, so I’ve heard. Lou played a one-off show in Denver over the weekend and unfortunately got stuck in the snow but J’s manager(s) got him a bass on which to practice. He was scheduled to arrive back in LA yesterday, as was J (which is when the real craziness begins !). The song they’re gonna be playing on the Late Late Show is still up in the air.
cheers.
ummm cool, what is your connection to the management?
