I was think about ‘Pick Me Up’ not ‘It’s Me’ being in standard tuning
The lo fi loop junkie can record up to 20 seconds.
If you want more record time then check out some of the Boss loopers, the RC 20 XL or the smaller RC 2 – they can record up to 16 minutes and you can overdub on them too
It’s from the electro harmonix myspace page, last time I looked, it’s the only one showing any of J’s stuff
Hopefully J has recovered his stolen CAE switcher, but it’s probably more likely that he had a replacement made.
at the show in London at the beginning of December, his effects rig appeared to be exactly the same as before the gear was stolen
I think J’s original sunburst Jazzmaster is kept here — http://www.emplive.org — it’s a music museum in Seattle.
They have some Hendrix gear there too.
J had a red, block inlay jazzmaster as a back up at some of the recent shows too
It’s a Japanese made, limited edition, reissue of a 1954 P bass with Fenders ‘Blue Flower’ finish
50’s P basses only have 1 single coil pick up
no unfortunetly I won’t be there tonight

the only part of me thats happy about this are my ears ! they need a rest !
I really enjoyed Back To Your Heart – thanks for the song name trensidoh
I didn’t make a note of Lou’s setlist but I remember him playing these songs. There were a few others but I can’t remember
(not in order played)
Home
Holding Back The Year
Rebound
Skull
Brand New Love
Magnets Coilhe also said they he was looking forward to ‘ blasting our fucking heads ‘ off when Dinosaur played – so he wouldn’t be able to hear people talking

Don’t forget that Matt Dillon also sang back up vocals on Hot Burrito # 2

It’s a reissue from around 1994, Gibson did a limited run to celebrate it’s 100th anniversary

I really hope that they can recover the gear …..and I wish nothing but pain to the people responsible
no Murph on this album,
Bill Stevenson is drumming and Karl Alvarez plays bass, both play in the Descendents
June 20, 2006 at 12:21 pm in reply to: A billion dollar question: what kind of pedals are J & L #118095I’ve read that J has a Budda wah and likes it, though this could just be because it’s purple !….maybe it’s just part of his gear collection or maybe he uses it for recording ?
J used a Superfuzz in his live rig from around 1993 (possibly earlier) probably up until when Dinosaur called it quits in 1997, could have been used during the recording of all the Dinosaur albums, except the first one. The Lovetone pedals were used in his live rig from around the time of the Hand It Over album. He has also used them in the studio from around this time + on the J + the Fog albums
never heard of J using an Ampeg Scrambler but he probably has one at home as he loves his pedals !
June 7, 2006 at 4:38 pm in reply to: A billion dollar question: what kind of pedals are J & L #118091I’ve got an radio interview with J from around 1995 where J mentions buying some 7” singles by the band Taste which is a band Rory Gallagher used to play in, so I guess he is a fan of his guitar playing as well as his Strat

The yellow version is called the Germania 44 as it has the OC 44 germanium transistor in it, thats the only circuit difference between the purple and the yellow version
