He’ll have to get his HBE Germania pedal put in the rack and control it with his Bradshaw switch system to avoid anyone trying to pinch another one !
Quote:does really j uses just those pedals?!? i really thought he used a lot more…that’s all he uses for the reunion tours…..for the later Dinosaur gigs (1993 ish onwards) he used a lot more effects. Around 1997 I think he had the biggest rig regarding effects, the CAE switching system was around 3 times the size of the one he currently has.

June 6, 2006 at 10:25 am in reply to: A billion dollar question: what kind of pedals are J & L #118075thanks for the info on J’s rig – how does he run the JMP 1 pre amp as there’s no power amp in his rack ? – I’ve heard that you can modify amp heads to use their power amp sections to drive a pre amp or does it run to the PA ?
June 5, 2006 at 5:42 pm in reply to: A billion dollar question: what kind of pedals are J & L #118073On the reunion tour Lou uses a Boss TU 2 tuner, a Fulltone Fulldrive 2 and a ZVex Super Hard On.
it’s a piccolo trumpet, played by Donna Gauger
The version of Keeblin’ that was released as a b-side to Out There is played with a capo at the 3rd fret. On Martin + Me J uses a capo at the 5th fret and the version on the CBGB’s cd is played without a capo.
Same chord shapes are used regardless of where the capo is used
I have the live acoustic version of Tarpit from a show at the Bowery Ballroom in NYC from sometime in 2002. Not sure if that’s the only place they played it.
I saw Kurt Fedora play when J played solo in London in 1995. He opened for J that night, just playing acoustic, no singing and he was amazing. He kept joking with the crowd saying he hoped we weren’t getting bored with him just playing and not singing.
One of the highlights of the show was him joining J for Drawings…..J played the solo
It would be great to hear more from Kurt Fedora
On The Word they played Start Choppin’ not Get Me

you can download it from freesofree.net – when you watch it look out for Evan Dando dancing away in the crowd
In that picture he’s using a Rory Gallagher Tribute model Fender Strat
I think J only used the Mesa head at CBGB’s after the Marshall head had a problem

it’s Yeah We Know
J uses a Real McCoy Custom RMC 2 wah
in interviews Juliana Hatfield has said that J is her favourite guitarist
she released a cover of Raisans as a b-side on her Forever Baby single in 1992 and a cover of Severed Lips was a b-side on a Blake Babies single from 1991
