every musician out there and artist that writes songs is somewhat emotional. so anything that’s NOT emo is emotionless? i don’t get the whole thing. but i do understand the whole ‘sound’ most "emo" bands have. and Dinosaur Jr. doesn’t sound anything like that.

but they could of inspired some "emo" bands, who knows. music have many different sounds and variations – and to catergorize or label them based on "emotion" is just so narrowminded.

but that’s just my opinion.
