Yes Yes Yes Yes!
It would be an extremely cruel act to post such a proposal to us fans and then say, "Oh, we’re not going to make it." Wouldn’t you all agree. It’d be like one big ____ tease! That makes me ecstatic!!!
While I wait for the show to be posted, anyone have a setlist of what he played? Mainly, I’d like to know if he played any new material. Ahhh, I love the internet! To be around the world and still be able to get a J Mascis show! Can’t wait to hear it!Just wondering if the anyone posted the tape op conference from 2002 and posted it. I’d love to take a look at it. Also, will 2003 be broadcast over the internet? If not, how will it be accessible?
That’s a broad range – $5-10,000! I wonder who costs $5 to book?
They’re coming very near to me in Greenville, SC. I think just for shits and giggles I’m going to go. Nothing like some GNR to reminisce to.
In case you guys are interested, ticketmaster.com has a listing of all the cities the tour will be hitting. I don’t know if all the show prices are the same, but I know Greenville is 35-65 per ticket. Kind of a lot considering Slash won’t even be there!
But it should be fun, nonetheless.September 20, 2002 at 11:13 pm in reply to: BBC J Interview Radio/Webcast :: his ‘life in CD’ #55359Can somebody record this interview possibly and post it on the website. It’s my friend’s birthday and there is no way that I’ll be able to listen to the interview in that drunken state. Well, if I knew how, I’d do it, but I don’t…hint, hint!
Hey Allison,
You say that’s 0330 where you are. What time zone are you in in reference to the states? I’d love to hear the interview, and will be really pissed if I miss it by an hour! Thanks.Darrin
So is Freakscene time central standard time? Just want to make sure. I’m on the east coast so I want to make sure and get the time right.
Hey Simmons,
No worries about you being in Norway. I’m sure J’s got fans over there, same as here. We could turn this into an international street promotion campaign!Deepsludge mentioned posters, but all I was thinking was a flyer on 8 1/2 x 11 that everyone could just print up. I’m lucky b/c I have access to my school’s printer so it won’t cost anything except the paper, especially if it’s in color.
Iwadley – that’d be great if you could get us started on the idea and make up a promo ad.
Allison, do you know of any of the radio stations yet? I know that there’s a European station that broadcasts electronic sets over the internet. Maybe one or a few of the stations J will be on will be available to everyone else.
Deepsludge- Did you want anything that I offered? If so, hook me up with your address.I’m sorry to say I have no artistic skill or even the knowledge to conjure up a cool promo ad on a computer, but I know that some of you guys (especially all the contributors to the "How u doin" thread) know what you’re doing when it comes to it. I would obviously suggest using the cover from the CD on this homepage and go from there. Hell, I think it’d be pretty cool to use some of the "How u doin" pictures on some of them. I know some of those would definitely catch some eyes!!! Anyway, I hope to see some ads that I’ll be able to post around my town. Any and all ads are welcome and appreciated!
August 8, 2002 at 12:00 am in reply to: Ultimatum will be releasing the new J. & The Fog record #55242Hey everyone,
I say just for kicks and also to see how powerful we are together, we should call in to TRL when a new video comes out and see if we can get in on the countdown. How funny would it be to see J upstage nsync on the countdown!!! Maybe we can try to set a certain date for everyone to call and see what happens! Hey, at least one good thing would come of it – there’d actually be a decent song on the countdown!I used to have Martin and Me in my CD player for my alarm. It was always nice every morning to hear "Thank you. Thank you very much," and then Thumb.
Hey Rosa,
Your mention of the Doors’ Roadhouse Blues instantly triggered one of my favorite summer songs to listen to – LA Woman. Driving down the road with your windows rolled down and this song blaring definitely has that summer feeling.July 20, 2002 at 7:09 am in reply to: City Slang will be releasing the new J. & The Fog record #55198Hey,
What is Palace Brother talking about when he mentioned the extra tracks on More Light? Was this a European version or what? -
