okay thanks a lot! and wow that song was awesome, they kinda remind me of a band called Swervedriver, another great shoegazing band.
yep! like all those bands! although i’m yet to properly listen to yo la tengo…. i shall dive into one of their albums 🙂
anything alt rock is my thing really – pixies, sonic youth, meat puppets, janes addiction, alice in chains, smashing pumpkins, jesus lizard, minor threat, my bloody valentine, black flag. also love bob dylan. slowly trying to vary what genres i listen too but the whole 80’s 90’s alt-indie rock scene is my favourite by far.
my favourite album has always been you’re living all over me 🙂
come to think of it i’m not sure haha. it seems like J stopped on purpose but i don’t think he’s done that before..? whatever the case it was cool to see and worked well i think!
yeah, Raisans and Gargoyle i thought were superb, the solos were mental. also the intro to Start Choppin and the way J broke down Freak Scene was great 🙂
news to me that Matt Dillon directed the “been there all the time” vid. that’s cool!

got it, that makes sense. and the clip of J and Kim talking in the year punk broke about Uma now makes sense to me thanks to these comments:)

yeah the SPIN article thing here http://www.spin.com/articles/dinosaur-jr-rediscovering-the-gnarl/ says J now occupies Uma’s old house.
so am i right in assuming the whole Uma thing is just a joke – they never had anything going on. they just went to the same school.
the Quicksand lyrics “I’m the twisted name on Uma’s eyes” just confuse me even further.
