About time the Bears get something out of the former first rounder Grossman. But, I still say Benson’s a bust- Mack Brown had no problem running him into the ground at Texas with 20 to 30 carries a game so, he comes into the league with a heavy workload already attached. Keep in mind, 4 or 5 years is all a running back is usually good for in the NFL….
In other news, my Cowboys are going to Carolina this weekend to lose. How do you go from potentially having home feild advantage in the playoffs to struggling for a Wild Card spot? Easy. Leave it to Parcells pathetic, conservative, milquetoast playcalling.
I can still hold onto the rumor that Culpepper will at the Cowboy helm next season cause it looks like we’re headed for a long winter this year.
Oh, and who was the guy throwing the ball for the Ravens on Monday? That definately didn’t look like Kyle Boller to me.December 21, 2005 at 7:09 pm in reply to: My Neighbours Should Pay Me For Playing This Great Music #100271REM- Automatic For The People (really just Nightswimming)

Are you sure it`s the same David Palmer?
SG, you’ve just caught some major disinformation on my part. Do you know how many times I’ve discussed that with other people and NO ONE’s corrected me? You are absolutely correct: That is NOT Jethro Tull’s David Palmer, it’s another guy. In fact, the guy "fronted" the band and sang most of their lyrics because Becker/Fagan didn’t like to sing. Cool.
Seriously, MY BAD.
As punishment, I will now subject myself to a 24 hour Bryan Adams/Glass Tiger/Loverboy music marathon. Hope I make it out alive…..

Seriously.Fasteddyclarke, I have always felt the same way, perhaps it is an Athens thing. I think it is torture to listen to, and that Sonic Nurse, eating it and then struggling to poop it out would be more more enjoyable than listening to it, but perhaps it is only the two of us who feel this way.
I’ve never liked them, either, and I’m a New Englander through and through. I do, however, appreciate how Moore and Renaldo have worked hard to promote and introduce to new audiences a number of venerable avant-garde musicians. They’ve used their relatively high profile to support obscure music that’s meant a lot to them, and they deserve kudos for that. But that said, I’ve never at all connected with the music they themselves play. And I’ve tried since the mid-80s. It just doesn’t work.
Ditto that for me as well. Never saw the big draw here other than the occasional "that’s a pretty cool thing to do with your insturment" sound. Most of it just sounds like noise for the sake of making noise to me.
And I think fasteddy hit right on the head in that Thurston Moore has DONE more for music than create a great body of work himself…..Wow, I just thought I was too much of a simpleton to "understand and appreciate" SY’s stuff- I feel better now."Bucky Ramone " wrote:….classic….Big Star’s "The Ballad of El Goodo"Â

Trivia question: Who did the original version?
Klatuu(if that`s how you spell it)a canadian band that people thought was The Beatles back together again
I`ll take a guess on Dirty Work, was it Chevy Chase?(he played drums for awhile with Fagen and Becker)
Nope. That would be David Palmer of Jethro Tull fame…
