I was meant to say what songs do you reckon could benefit from the J or Dinosaur treatment?
No one like that Demis? I thought it was ace.
Demis doubters would be wise to check out 666 by Aphrodites Child. Just sayin’
yeah post it up – i haven’t read it in years – i no longer own that copy of record collector.

do you know if J has his copy of the freakscene video yet?
my friends brother used to avidly record music from the TV using a betamax video recorder (better quality).
That video was actually filmed in a place called Cheadle in the UK which is like 2 miles from where I’m sat. The video was filmed especially for a programme called Snub TV and as such i am pretty sure my friends’s brother recorded it.
the problem is finding a working betamax video player to link to a computer…
I have my own VHS copy of that video which is tacked onto the start of a bootleg video of a show in Australia… this isn’t isn’t great quality – in fact it’s quite poor… but i used to watch it all the time
it may be summer in continental Europe but in her majesty’s great britain it’s like sitting inside a tupperware.
fucking hell – Slint!! reforming!! wow!!
hey – I haven’t been here for years – I check the news regularly but I lost my password for the forum.
I’ve been downloading stuff off the Fresofree forum all day – it’s superb – what a resource!
how the hell ya doin’?
I think yr the first to say that…I thought They were funny…my friend Xian did them.
I’ve been off the web for a while ‘cos I got a new job and my last bill for the ‘net was huge…my bloody modemz.
eggwater digs Vinyl…CD cases are prone to breaking and CDs aren’t as damage proof as the man would have us believe…vinyl sounds better unless the music was originally recorded digitally…dah! I just like the big sleeve art and gatefolds are cool…though I succumbed to buying a digital 8 track and master all my own tunes to MD…fuck I’m a walking contradiction…I still buy vinyl before CD any day…did any get 1000Hurts by Shellac on Vinyl…a simply magnificent package and also the CD version thrown in to compare the difference of the mediums (no doubt). Mr. Albini you are analogue personified.

I just bought Vaya 10" by At the Drive In – it’s great especially side A – sadly this band have split up.
also got a Naked Raygun LP…not my bag I’m afraid (salamiguy) a bit too obviously political and dated…unlike the Minutemen who are the greatest (just thought I’d slip that in).

don’t forget to check out http://www.eggwater.net my hit counts down and I’ve added a load more content too. [/LIST]
hey Salami..you missed out eggwater
ha ha!!
(oh no you didn’t…i apologise)
there’s another band in manchester called Alfie that you might like…they’re a bit like Jim O’Rourke’s more mellow moments.
also The Smiths were good…
I wish Mr Kevin Shields would get his act together.
just call me obscure indie fanatic…
hey! salami…I thought it might’ve been you ‘cos the person signed themselves as S.M. – me thought ‘salami-man’ – I’m actually hoping it might be Steven Malkamus – now that’d be quite the koolest.

PS. I’ve exhausted my knowledge of German bands…call me if there’s an in depth conversation about Kraftwerk.
out…..
Salami fella – i know 18th dye…I have one 7" that’s kinda okay…they did that "tribute to a Bus" LP that Albini recorded that was actually pretty good…can’t really think what they sound like now…a bit like Sloy – were they German too (another Albini recorded band).
Incidently mr. salami are you my anonymous eggwater.net contributor?
if so come clean!!!

eggwater out
mouse on Mars (good call!!)
also whoever said Bob Hund (I thought Lund) was Swedish…cheers..i thought they were German…though I ain’t that great at foreign languages (except french)….
see ya
Faust
Blumfeld
Bob Lund – a track I once heard on MTV by this band…it was awesome but I’ve never seen anything by them.
To Rocco Rot – are good nu-Krautrock.City Slang is a german label, I thing Glitterhouse who brought all the Sub Pop stuff to europe wsas German too.
If you want decent stuff from Germany look no further than the techno scene – Berlin’s Tresor label is good. There’s also a guy who goes under the name Isolee on Playhouse records who makes beautiful electronic stuff.
is anyone seriously into Rammstein?
I think it must be their first album…it’s self titled…the last track "cascade" is good..
see ya
gotta go sink some ales..
adam
I didn’t know Prekop was elsewhere..b4 Sea and Cake…I’ll try and check out…I have one 11th dream day LP that i don’t really like…though Doug McCombs is the man…Tortoise-stylee!!!!
