Thanks for the heads up. I probably have most everything he has, cince I have a 150+ show collection myself, but I’ll take a look at it when it comes back up.

        Beezle,

You trade bootlegs of the Pumpkins? Email me and I’ll send you my lsit if you do. I don’t like to post that sort of thing on message boards, though.

        Later, Jaron

I meant "Hmmm…" as in I was thinking about what you told me.

I would like a DVD of the videos, but I have a 2-VCD set that’s dang near DVD quality so I won’t cry if they don’t release one.

Yeah, I got the storyteller’s boot, too… good stuff. There’s a VCD and VHS floating around of the full thing (all 2 hours). Would make a nice official release, if I do say so myself.

P.S. Just looked at your album list. Must ? your Arising! songs date. There was no 4.4.99 show. The first show of the Arising! tour was 4.10.99 in Detroit. I know, because I was there.

Hmmm… the Pumpkins BBS is at http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/SPmb.html

I agree that the Here’s to the atom Bomb on the bside of the "Try" European single is better.

What do you mean by promos? Billy’s acoustic demos and such? Or something else entirely?

As for Metro and other releases, Billy has said on the BBS that they were coming (or at least alluded highly to it) but hasn’t said in what order. The common thought is that Metro DVD will be released first followed by the albums, in order, with bonus tracks.

I really haven’t heard anything about a greatest hits album, although I hope so. I spent some money to get a promo CD called "Smashing Pumpkins 1991-1998" which is a partial greatest hits.

Other Pumpkin releases rumoured to be coming: Storytellers DVD (full thing, not just 5 songs), "Before the Beginning" and "After the End" recording on official website, and the Mashed Potatoes boxed set.

Also, check out the "unreleased" music videos for Quiet and Jellybelly on the bands offical site. Good stuff.

Oh, and here’s a site for you: http://www.givetheworld.net/shows/2000-12-02/ It has the first set of the Metro show.

Well, what you must understand, is that all of what he released is not Machina II. The double LP is the only part of the album, which has: Glass’ Theme, Cash Car Star, Dross, Real Love… <snip>… Here’s To The Atom Bomb.

Corgan said the 3 EPS, which have the covers and different versions of songs were "the b-sides" of the album. They are not Machina II.

Some of your other information was inaccurate as well, I’m afraid. Don’t mean to pick but Corgan explicitly said Machina II will not have an official release. It will not be sold. It’s near impossible to do so since Virgin Records has the rights to it and they don’t want to take the time to do so.

I haven’t heard anything about the greatest hits album, and I’m on the Pumpkins BBS near 24-7. I’d like to see your source on that since it’s new info to me. If it will have two new songs, you can bet one will be Untitled, which was the song he released to radio 3 days before the band broke up. Other then that, I’m interested.

Nice to see another Pumpkin fan on the board.

I don’t really think he cares. Very few true musicians, and by that I mean outside of the likes of pop music, really care about image. It’s about music. Now, if someone called his music "slacker music," then I think he might be ticked.

Sig is that thing at the bottom of all your posts. Everyone’s is different. You’re apparently already using it since everyone of your posts says, "’Thanks a lot!’ – Mr. J. Mascis."

To change your sig, go to ‘My profile,’ it should be somewhere in there.

See, maybe the problem at the Richmond show is they did no cool covers and had no members of the "other" band come and join in… none of that cool stuff happened.

I picked up the 5" the other day and heard that version of Get Out of This. It’s OK, but not the best J. instrumental I’ve heard.

Oh, I almost forgot. I stole a promotional poster for this show the balcony of the club they played at. It’s pretty boring looking but I’d be willing to take a picture of it with my digital camera if anyone wants such a thing.
