Are you sure? I’ve heard this before only to be told by everyone that it’s pure bunk. I don’t know either way though conclusively. He DID go on to be one of the founders of MTV though.

to further this topic…can you all really consider yourselves ACTUAL vegetarians when you still eat some forms of meat products? i.e. eggs, chicken, etc. I mean, even if it is only occasionally, you’re only REALLY a vegetarian if you consume non-meat related goods right(hence the name VEGETARIAN)? Give me your input.

Hmm… I sort of figured you were joking but didn’t want to accuse you in case you were serious. I didn’t go around telling people I was a level two… at least not too many people. j/k

I doubt one can be called a vegan or vegetarian if they eat meat. I used the term for lack of a better one.

Yeah, they are some of the better sounding midi files I’ve seen. I remember back in the day (the win 3.1 days), getting online and d/ling a midi file of 1979 by the Pumpkins and it not even being recognizable.

Oh, how far midi technology has come!

Cool, so you understand the problems that comes along with that. They sometimes have them around here but not often. Oddball is great! Been shopping there for a couple years now </STRONG><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Oh, definitely, I understand. Dress shoes and boots and such aren’t that big of a problem for me to find, but I’m very particular about my tennis shoes; I only wear certain varieties of Adidas running shoes [I’m anal about that sort of thing] and finding them in my size usually involves paying eastbay.com some ridiculous price.

No, on second thought, I will respond. I post my particular brand of off-topic posts in the open topic forum. That’s what it’s made for. If you don’t like it, too bad – don’t read it. It’s not as though I’m posting my vegetarian and Monkees stories in the J. Mascis Rumours forum and acting like it’s important.

Just be cool about it if you don’t like them.

crosswinds.net was great. Free unlimited bandwidth and space. But then they put ads on. So I paid $10 a year to get them down figuring, hey, it’s still a great deal. Then they stopped allowing outside linking. That was the last straw.

Nice list. That’s MY idea of a festival tour. Although I must agree with Jebus. I dislike most festival tours. I went to HFS in Washington and got there early and front row… Got crushed the entire time by stupid people. Totally ruined the show. Maybe JFest could happen but it have assigned seating. Yeah, that’s my dream.

I have seen a lot of good bands and a lot of crap opening for J and/or Dinosaur.
The best was undoubtedly in 1991 when J appeared at the Hollywood Palladium in support of Green Mind. The opening bands were Hole and Nirvana. Obviously, way before either band became huge…I always kind of wondered if that was the show where Kurt and Courtney first met…probably not.
Other good bands include Come, Love as Laughter…
Lot of crap though…Rocket from the Crypt and a couple other bands whose names I would just as soon forget.
I always wished I had lived or been in the United Kingdom when Dinosaur was part of the Rollercoaster Tour with the Jesus & Mary Chain and My Bloody Valentine…I wish that tour had come to the states.</STRONG><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>

Hole and Nirvana – same show opening for J.? Wow. As much as I dislike Courtney Love as a person, I must admit that’d rock.

I’d like to have seen My Bloody Valentine as well.
