Did you know that Charles Manson auditioned
to be in the Monkees? So did Steven Stills.

The Monkees WERE the biggest selling band in 1968, I believe.
Manson was also pretty cozy with the Beach Boys, as I’m sure most if not all of you knew. Steven Stills I was unaware about. He’s damn good.

If bob ever comes back around, maybe we could convince him to post his cover of Daydream Believer. He did it right after I put up the More Light demos and was inspired by J’s cover of Leaving on a Jet Plane. I thought it was pretty good

Hendrix opened for the Monkees? Oh dear lord… that’s a travesty.
I’d like to hear someone’s cover of Daydream Believer. Perhaps that can be the Chipmunks next project.

ELJ, just a CD player. Did you not buy some bass, mids and highs. Man, I’ll tell you. You thrown in some of that music in a car stereo that has bass and you ARE ROCKING. Sorry to offend you if you don’t or if you don’t care for that sort of thing.
Peace.

No, actually, I put in a pretty nice sound system as well. I’m not really into playing it too awfully loud, because I always thought that was stupid. I do pump up the bass on occasion though.

Just kidding everyone.

ELJ, I saw the show in 95 at Coca Cola Roxy theater in Atlanta GA. Everbeen there? I tell you that place was jam packed. And LOUD! I would easily say 400-500 fans. I don’t know why Kyuss, but sure glad they were there. I believe that’s when I picked up a new band, sound that I liked in music. The tour was the Without A Sound Tour. And the first time other than Lolapolluza (ms) I really saw J up close and personal. I remember bringing my girlfriend, she wasn’t in to the bands, she just knew I was burning down before and after. I don’t know, maybe she did love me… to much info. Any way, j starts off with feel the pain. And the band start off, but not in time. They stop, and J is barely laughing. He says "Alright." Then the rest of the show was a power house. I’m lucky to have that show on cassette tape but have erased over the intro of feel the pain and about 10 minutes of the start of the show. Sorry to ramble, that show started all the hoopla for me. Any way, I don’t know why Kyuss.

Nice story! Thanks for sharing. I wasn’t asking why they chose Kyuss, I was just wondering when that happened. I’d still like to see Kyuss regroup and play a show. That’d be so cool.
Love As Laughter
When did Kyuss play with them? I like the remnants of them that made up QOTSA.
I have that compilation. It’s the band itself. Not covers.
I touched Mickie Dolenz hand and stole Davy’s setlist. Woohoo!!!

Last time I was in Canada was like 6-7 years ago. Was it around that strong then? Cause I remember my Dad telling me that was the exchange rate. Although he might have just been total b/s’ing me since he might not have known.
I bought yesterday:
Weezer – Weezer (2001)
APC – Mer De Noms [2nd copy]
Coldplay – Parachutes [2nd copy]
NIN – Downward Spiral [2nd copy]
Radiohead – Pyramid Song EPI just got a CD player for my car, and I wanted doubles of some of my favorite albums so I don’t have to unload my changer.

I don`t know how much they`d cost in America.

American dollars are like 3/4 as much, I think. Not bad prices.
Sounds pretty good to me.
Not my handy work. Mine would have been Gary Coleman meets AYBABTU.
Cats: "All your base are belong to us!"
Gary: "What you talking about, Willis?"
Cats: "You are set up for the bomb."
Gary: "What you talking about, Willis?"
Cats: blah blah blah
Gary: "What you talking about, Willis?"It’d be hilarious (not to mention ludicrously easy).

Thinking about the debate over where Springfield is, I was watching the Simpsons today and it was the Halloween Special with Homega Man, and when the French launch the atomic bomb on Springfield, you can clearly see it heads towards the Ohio/Michigan area.
Worthless? Pointless info? Perhaps.
