There’s alot of glare, but the knobs read: volume, tone, reverb, and tremolo. It’s pretty cool, only $100.
wow cool beans yah i think going for the vintage japanesse amp market is a good idea cause there probably gonna start going up in price soon *damn you jack white!*

"Colin " wrote:I just got the Danelectro Fab Flange Pedal (cheap, $15 pedal) and I have no idea how to use it. I’m really not sure how a flange pedal is supposed to sound, but I think I’ve got it set right. For awhile, it just sounded like the chorus pedal, but I messed with the knobs for a little bit until I got it sounding better.I don’t have numbers for the knobs, but there are three (Regen, Speed, Depth). If you could give me a general area of where the knobs should be set to get a basic flange tone, it would be a lot of help.
yah try using it with a distortion pedal they have an awsome jet plane sound cranked
ack im so bad i just bought off of ebay a 97 black cat super fuzz

J has repeatedly said that his favorite pedal is his Big Muff. Maybe he uses the Metal Muff for recording. Who knows.yah it says that for the little big muff too and i serioulsy doubt that is j playing that sample*doesnt sound like him*
uhmm yah he plays a muff but like the orginal 60s and 70s
but i dunno i might be wrong…July 27, 2006 at 5:35 pm in reply to: For the 40th time:Flanger+distortion sound on Freak Scene? #116061"Mattman " wrote:Welcome to the wonderful world of "vintage" effects! Back in the day, and with EH being one of the biggest offenders, these pedal makers would often use whatever close-enough parts that they could get for the lowest price. On top of that, sometimes two examples of the exact same part could be vastly different in themselves, since tolerence ranges were much more broad back then. So, two Big Muffs, etc., could be a month apart in age, and sound different, because EH got a new shipment of parts between them. It’s all part of the fun…
Actually, it’s pretty much the same story today, except that supply and manufacturing process have dramatically improved over the years, so things are much more consistant in functionality, availability and price.
oh wow i didnt know that thanks for the info
yah i like how it sounds thou"lookitssam " wrote:Hey folks, check this new peice of vintage gear I’ve added to my ‘rig’:

it just sounds like a scrambler to me…I pretty sure its just J shaking an amp with a spring reverb. If you have an amp with one try it sounds rad.
yah mine just rings like crazy with my dis and flanger on it drives me NUTS*even at low reverb levels*
and i cant turn on or off my reverb sadly on my amps and i like to use my flanger WAY TOO MUCH ive been thinking of getting one of these kits you can build a fender reverb unit copy from weber speakers i love fender reverb its so nice and creamy but the reissues of that unit arent as good as the old ones and…..sorry im rambaling on sorryyah ive been thinking of buying an old univox ec 100 echo chamber ther usally about 100-200 bucks *cant beat that for vintage* and you have to FIND tapes for them to work thou… kinda hard to find and you have to mod them with these other tapes anyways i know van halen used it on "eruption" he always had an interesting sound
they kinda remind me the fender reverb unit
id probably just use it for studio thou
