I just remembered that the gold anodized pickguards are aluminum. So he could do a pickguard…..I would just have to cut it out. I could even use my Jagmaster guard as a template….however, if we could do it, we would have to melt down a bit of gold. Herrm….I’m still looking for them online though too.

"tonas " wrote:I just bought a 62 USA Reissue off ebay a few weeks ago. Its funny because I also have an early 90’s MIJ Jaguar. The Jap bridge has suited me fine, of coarse I had to tweek the little screws to get them to stay put, but its been great. I’ve played many shows with that guitar. The USA Jazzmaster I just got has the same bridge, but the way it was set up was horrible. I ended up just throwing that bridge away and buying a Warmoth modified Mustang Bridge. Much better bridge and it solved all the problems of the old one. I changed the pickgaurd to a white pearloid one. I’m waiting for my white knobs and pick up covers as we speak (read). It’ll be super sweet when its all together. Its Sherwood Green, and has upgraded Seymor Duncan Vintage Jazzmaster pickups.yah thats the only BIG complaint i think anyone has about those guitars other wise there great! i think they should start making the new jazzmasters with either the mustang bridge or a tune o matic cause the stock ones really suck! they should band them from the new production line and cast them to HELL!

hes down on our freedoms being taken away
thats way he wrote free so free "it was on my mind"
he said musics gonna be more political "cause you just cant ignore this shit."

yah i just got a pawn shop stock cry baby for 35 bucks*score* i use for my wah its not bad i can get a lot of feed back when its on and on up position and cracks and pops funny when i play it hard *probably cause i need to clean the pot or change it*
but ive been thinking of getting the roger mayer upgrade for it."malkmus " wrote:Sorry, why do I have to be careful?
well i bought an american tremo for my jazzmaster but didnt have the american whammy bar so i put my jap one in it and ruined the plug for the bar to sit in
"malkmus " wrote:I rang this music store not too long ago to see if they had any whammy bars for my Jazzmaster (which I bought there) and they go oh yeah we do have one, so I went all the way in there and this the guy is like one problem, and I go yeah… and he says well it doesnt seem to have any threading so you’re gonna have to go to some place to get a thread cut into it, and I was thought ..f$%k. I bought it anyway knowing I was never going to find a place to get a thread cut into it, and then later I was overjoyed when I found out you just jam them in to the guitar, also good because I got it heaps cheap cause the guy didn’t know.yah but you have to be careful cause the japannese whammy bars are different from the american ones
the japs are metic and the amers. have a dit of a dip in them at the endsnope the strat whammy bars are threaded but the jazz/jag/ mustangs are not they rather just pop in there or rather fall in some cases i guess lol
ps does anyone know what gaude of string does j use for acoustic?
