Wow, I thought everyone would kill me for hating Sonic Youth, but it looks like there’s a few more out there.
I guess they do do some good for other musicians, and Lee Renaldo seems pretty cool, but it seems like their best ideas are stolen from other bands. And just watch"The Year Punk Broke" and see if you think you could hang around T. Moore for more than two minutes.
I guess they did help out Dino, so I’m glad they existed, but fuck ’em.

And MBV opened for Dinosaur on the Green Mind tour, but I think now they would be a bigger deal if they reformed.kracked- I think it would be that way, but I’m not saying I like it. Sonic Youth have seniority now because they never broke up or diluted the band name as J did when he called every post Lou line up Dinosaur. QOTSA are the latest critical darling hipster band (maybe not so much now) and their appeal is much more widespread than the Dino reunion. And a MBV reunion would blow the minds of every Mojo type rock snob to such an extent that only a Beatles reunion could headline over them.
Maybe I’m being a little over the top but you get my point. Just because we love Dinosaur so much does not mean that the rest of the world does. If it was up to me Dino would headline Live 8 or whatever.
Ammaring- why have a reunion album with the three guys and then have all of those guests? That would be a mess. Do you ever listen to "Ball Hog or Tugboat" anymore? And if MBV got back together I think Dinosaur would be opening for them. They’d definitly be opening for QOTSA or Sonic Youth. That’s not the way I’d like it, but that’s the way it is.
They’re really expensive but they blow away the Fender reissues. I bet the deluxe sounds great. Now you need to get a whizzer like Neil Young’s.
Man, who gives a crap what/who that whiny little baby’s annoyed at. I have to come outa retirment to chime in here. That comment about being *unprofessional* was simply ridiculous. Dinosaur is a punk band, for god’s sake. If you want *professional* call the Dell help line, just don’t expect any sympathy from 99.9% of the folks on this forum with comments like that.
BTW, Twinky, has it ever occured to you that when the curtain knocked down Lou’s mic and he was on the floor singing, he was being funny? Or that the balloon popping thing was in good fun as well? It was the man’s birthday. He was having a good time. I know for a fact that this was the case. Geesh, get a sense of humor.
Lou is playing bass again, that alone makes this line up better than ’91.
And just because we have a turd for a president that doesn’t make us a toilet bowl.

I think Lollapalooza is way too big for any informal jams to take place, and I think that WP and Dinosaur will be too busy doing their own tours for them to drop what they’re doing and jam at some club. Too much equipment, too much trouble.
Besides, the Fog would just make Lou and Murph laugh.
