yeah its scary when its that close to home
I live in Islington too and the 30 bus runs by the end of my street, used to get it everyday to school many moons ago. I wasn’t due into work till thursday afternoon so in the end never had to leave my house. Everyone I know is ok. Not particularly looking forward to going back into work monday morning but I will. London will bounce back.

Wow. Thats the night after The Stooges play Funhouse in its entireity. How good a week is that gonna be! Wonder if J will be in attendance at the Stooges show
Wow that was an awesome show. I think its great they only played off the first 3 albums coz how else would we have got to hear all those songs had they been playing all their later stuff too? They played nearly all of YLAOM. What more can anyone want? They were certainly a diff sounding band from the Dinosaur Jr of the 90’s. Seemed like a lot of people in the audience near me had not seen either the original line up or even later line ups but they all seemed pretty blown away. I can’t wait for tonight’s show. If last night was anything to go by people won’t be disappointed during this tour
Fantastic show! Just as good if not better than the one at the Underworld a couple of years back. It was good to be at the front and able to see everything this time. Even my friends who are not massive fans were impressed. They couldn’t believe how laid back J was! He just kinda strolled on stage with his rucksack, and set up all his pedals and gear by himself, then sat on the stool and wrote out the setlist right before playing! As already mentioned he was sampling his own playing with a digital delay pedal? before some of the songs. This enabled him to play the guitar solos while the sample of the acoustic rhythm bit was looped in the background. During Alone he had the sample run the whole song, and just solo’d over the top – sounded very effective. 3 songs from the new album I think, one of which sounded amazing, don’t know the names, 2 off More Light and all the usual favourites like Repulsion, Little Fury things, the Wagon, Flying Cloud, Thumb etc. No covers this time. The packed crowd all seemed to enjoy it, he got a good reception. I just wish I could go to these shows night after night. He really is awesome.
