J was so kind to send an update.
Lets keep our fingers crossed that J will go through the surgery well and that he will be fine, soon (same for Jeremiah, of course!!!)Bugs are mean little creatures that can cause an illness like a cold ("Bazillen" in German)
I think this link will work a bit better to enter your band’s site: http://www.calm-berlin.de
hey, I just got the info from the Logo in Hamburg, that the new date for Hamburg is:
Sunday, Dec. 15th Logo Hamburg again.thats totally ok for me and I’m glad that it’s just a few weeks later than it was planned.

hi empty canvas, welcome
J hasn’t ever played shows in Portugal before? Fine that he comes your way, now I only remember that Spanish Festival some months ago.[ 10-31-2002, 05:47 PM: Message edited by: Flying Cloud ]
hey, I just heard from NirvanaRist (thanks!), that the Berlin gig will be rescheduled on Dec., 16th.; again in the venue ColumbiaFritz
That encourages the optimism that the other gigs will be rescheduled in December, too…I can only second that: Let’s just hope that J has got health insurance, because diagnosis, surgery & hospital are surely expensive
And only 9 sick days for a gallbladder surgery is not much at all…oh my, sorry to hear that
I had the same problem and I can tell, that it hurts like hell
What a drag, that one of the attacks occured during a show! Now, that’s really professional: To contiue a show under these circumstances!I had my gallbladder removed through laparoscopy and after about one week it was a part of the past and I didn’t have any problems from it, afterwards – a big progress, compared with those severe pain attacks before the surgery.
All the best wishes for J
hey Uralter Sack (what a name ! I mean, age isn’t that important, and we’ve got a wide age span here, reaching from 14 to the mid-forties)
Thanks for your story, interesting read.
yeah, it has been a strange time in ’89 ’round the Berlin wall, but you seemed to have a great soundtrack to get you through
Welcome to this place October 30, 2002 at 9:20 am in reply to: Live MP3 of Not You Again to be Cityslang’s MP3 club pic for #55384thanks for the info
might help while I’m waiting until the Hamburg gig is rescheduled … hey momo, welcome
cool, a well rested member from Seoul
Hopefully we get to hear something about how it is to be a Mascis fan on your side of the world oh dear, now that is kinda sad
I really really hope, that J recovers well & takes care.It would be great, if another Hamburg gig will take place this year, though
Besides of the sad contents, I like the City Slang newsletter, it’s written very nice the show in Malmö tonight is also cancelled: http://www.kulturbolaget.se/program.html
hey, there are some pics of J’s instore performance on the sonicboomrecords site, now
One of the pics gives a detailed view over J’s pedals. So sorry to hear that
I hope, J will get better, soon! & I also hope that he will return to Norway for another show in the near future!I’ve been browing the web a bit and I found, that many of those sites who mention J’s new album, are linking to that aversion site now…
