…still shocked…
thanks guys, sounds like there is a lot to discover

it’s not that I haven’t heard about him being a great musician and such, but I kinda missed a cause to start listening to his music, so far.thank you so much, SG! I guess I’ll start with Shoot Out The Lights.

lovely read, never heard before, that this interview even exists!
Quote:RT: I’ve forgotten who is interviewing who.… that’s the best part of it, when Richard Thompson starts asking questions

[looks like I have to check Richard Thompson’s music, I never really listened consciously to his stuff …
]sad news!!!

he was so unique and his radio shows were so full of the funniest, coolest and strangest music, and you could feel, he loved everything he played.
He will be missed!!!!
…from the BBC site:
Quote:Celebrate John’s LifeJohn Peel passed away on Monday 25th October. This week, to celebrate John’s life and the massive contribution he has made to UK music, we’re going to be playing Peel session tracks from the archives.
If you have a favourite session track that you’d like to hear from the past 37 years of John’s career please request it below. We’ll do our best to play them over the next few nights.
Thanks.
Also there’s a form to leave a tribute to John Peel

cool, thanks sebroll

I’m sure the guitar freaks here appreciate any update of the tabs
no, I won’t google it, as you’ve been boo-ing at google-ing, dB

oh, I guess he’s rather on the lookout for some decent small venues where he could play, so if you know such a place in London you could email it to him.
quote from loobiecore.com:
Quote:I’ve been thinking that I need to find a more realistic way to tour… like , maybe playing in your living room (?)
like maybe playing alternative spaces, non-rock-club galleries…
if you have any ideas email me and I’ll begin collecting them.a good chair is also an option, but this collection is reality-proven to be good for running: great tunes in mid-tempo with a steady beat and full of energy. that’s what I’m looking for when I look for running songs

I tell you, it’s one of the nicest ways to listen to a collection of my most favouritest songs. a good title for that mix would be "runner’s high"
:aliensmile:I’m still running outside, although the weather is getting rougher. meanwhile I’m not feeling that much like a lame duck anymore, other than when I started

my current song collection for running (I change the songs very often, though)

The Seeds – Pushin’ Too Hard
the Fall – I Feel Voxish

)

Sonic Youth – Kissability (aah, Kim Gordon is sooo cool!)
the Thermals – It’s Trivia

well, better mentioning it here late than never… and on the website they still call the Project Woven Hand, other than on the record cover itself, where they call it Wovenhand, indeed.
According to 16horsepower.net, Woven Hand, the sideproject of 16 Horsepower’s main man David Eugene Edwards have a new album ready, called Consider The Birds. it is supposed to come out in November (depending on the country, it seems). But it’s already available for online purchases.
Quote:"The first 1,000 copies of the CD sold here at Sounds Familyre will include a limited edition print by David Eugene Edwards. An even more limited number (of the 1,000) will be signed by David and randomly inserted into the CDs."Woven Hand are on European tour in November: tour dates
…I’m looking forward to see them on Nov. 17!
Also, according to their site news, 16 Horsepower will be releasing their new DVD on November 15 in Europe on Glitterhouse records.

🙂 if you should stumble over it, get also the Thermals’ other album "More Parts Per Million", it has the same kind of energy, with a big load of great songs, it’s at least the same quality as Fuckin’ Anow, that’s what I’d call a clear advice

and I tend to think you’re right …so I just bought the ticket
