I am just going for the Saturday/Sunday and have a spare ticket but not spare accomodation … so if anyone lives locally or has friends that are going and can kip on their floor you’d be welcome to it
I’m already going to the Mudhoney (Superfuzz Bigmuff) and Lemonheads (It’s A Shame About Ray) ones. Tempted by the Stooges one too, but already seen then once this year (in Barcelona!) and they played most of Funhouse then.
And now extremely tempted by the Dinosaur Jr one – trying to talk myself out of it ‘cos they played most of YLAOM at the forum and am very broke at the moment but I don’t think I’m gonna be able to resist …
it was confirmed in the mean fiddler’s newsletter yesterday too (mean fiddler organise the reading/leeds festivals)

Quote:At the official site there’s still been no mention whatsoever.maybe they’re not allowed to advertise it until after Download … often bands are contractually forbidden to appear at other festivals in the same country
and another …

Quote:Looks Like Mojo will have something about the reissues in their April 05 mag…Yeah, it’s worth checking out. There’s a full page review of the reissues (pretty predictable – Dinosaur gets 3/5 stars, YLAOM gets 5 while Bug only gets 4). Also a short interview with J about the original Dinosaur line-up (he talks about how it was "the most miserable time" in his life and is less than concilatory towards Lou: "[kicking Lou out] was resolved within a day, yet still somehow he used that for a lot of rage in his life, or to fuel his life in music. But I’ve heard from people he’s a lot more mellow now. He’s finally taking responsibility for his lashing out at me for 15 years.")
yeah, I’ve also been to bush hall several times and have never known there to be any security apart from a cursory ticket check at the door, so I’m pretty sure taking photos will be no problem … it’s a very nice venue – looks kinda like a ballroom with chandeliers, etc. – well suited to acoustic shows
really looking forward to it – last time I saw mascis solo (at camden dingwalls a couple of years ago) it was one of the best gigs I have ever been to
