didn’t agnelli mention during the pitchfork.tv interview that the record is mastered "super loud"? i feel my vinyl of "beyond" is way too loud/clipped as well, so i remember that comment freaked me out a bit. has anyone heard the farm vinyl yet? similar to the cd?

I don’t think I’ve noticed that during Teenage Riot, Jeremiah… I’ll have to look at it again! And yeah, proof positive that it exists

I just read the noripchord interview that trensidoh posted:
Quote:I don’t need to ask about The Freed Pig or request a recanting of the tale about Mascis hitting Lou in the head with his guitar onstage in Connecticut 20 years ago.Perhaps that’s the same gig? Well, there could be more bashes that we don’t know about

It would be cool to even just hear an audio recording of the thing. The feedback screaming…
@ Yeah Right: I’m pretty sure I’ve read about it somewhere else, so I’d bet it’s in Azerrad’s book. If you find the time (and think the Mojo story is interesting), it would be awesome to read it!
gee, i wish they were allowed to talk more about the new album and less about the tension from the old days…
now they’ve lined up a decent summer/fall tour –> http://www.dinosaurjr.com/tour.htm

mind_glow: so what’s it gonna be? dinosaur jr or mallorca?? c’mon, that can’t be difficult.
Thanks for posting that, Jeremiah! I really enjoyed reading that piece.
I’m praying that the upcoming tour to support ‘Farm’ won’t be their last one. I don’t know, I’ve got a bad feeling… Anyways, fingers x.
And boys, come to Scandinavia soon.

streusel is great as a scones topping! people generously sprinkle streusel over their muffins and coffee cakes, but rarely have i seen a perfectly executed scone topped with the sweet, crunchy goodness that comes about when ground cinnamon and brown sugar is mixed with butter and flour into proper streusel.
uhm… so ‘farm’, huh?

since i always end up on the loosing side of breakfast buffet bets, may i ask if you prefer cream scones or butter scones? personally, i think a cream scone would pair remarkably well with your blend-in selection of banana-macadamia nuts, melady.
Sooo excited!

I’ll bet you all a blueberry muffin that pitchfork will rate it 7.2.
Hey!
Check your PMs

check out http://www.dinosaurjr.com/bin/tour.htm; there are some ticket links there

has any of you peeps compared the vinyl version to the CD? i’ve only heard the vinyl one, and there’s not a whole lot of bass on it, i think…what about the CD? there also parts on my vinyl that sounds very overdriven or fuzzy compared to others. dino is supposed to be fuzzy and overdriven, but it’s strange that parts of songs sounds very fuzzy, while the rest sounds very clear.
thanks, nice read

lou is awesome.

I use the computer for 3 things:
Listening to Music
Watching Video
downloading torrentsKtorrent crashes all the time now, and vlc player looks all grainy now.
Kaffeine doesn’t work at all, and that was my main player for videos.
Amarok still works, as you can see from my signature
I figure I’ll wait a little bit of time for some possible updates to come out, or go back to the previous version. Which was rock solid for me.
go for debian if you want something rock solid! afaik, ubuntu/kubuntu is largely based on debian (and debian’s package system), so if you’re familiar with ubuntu, it should be a breeze to swap to debian. i set debian up on my centrino laptop, and was amazed that it just works…out of the box. i’ve also started to use xfce instead of gnome; all of sudden my computer responds quickly and doesn’t seem bogged down anymore. recommended.
