How funny, I became a Dino fan when I was 15 too! Cool!

This is great news, I can’t wait to hear it! The last album was fantastic!

Saw the band here in Portland this past thursday night, great friggin show they played a few new songs off the new album and surprisingly enough a few post low dino songs! ie "feel the pain, out there, .. and maybe a few more I cant remember, but they also played new album songs and 4-5 old dino / lou songs. Overall, great show. Saw em here also on the 05 reunion tour, that was memorable. Im glad I had my earplugs at this recent show.j

Almost Ready and Pick Me Up are my two stand-out favorites. On the Japanese version, there’s two bonus songs

"we’re not alone" and "crumble" are two that i really dig that that are a bit more mellow, just great rythems and beautiful shit going on.as for the two lou songs i just think theyre amazing. i loved "back to your heart" right away when i heard it a few times last tour, and "lightning bulb" took me a few listens to really get into but now i love it just as much.
the more i listen to this album the more i love it.
id say "this is all i came to do" is the one to me that kinda screams j + the fog, not in a bad way, hell i love those 2 fog albums (especially more light). "been there all the time" i get the fog feel from that one also. just some observations and opinions.. feel free to attack and leave your own haha.
It is definately a creeper album… the more you listen to it the more it grows on you I think. I can’t wait to see em live again. I for one did not have my expectations set to high, so luckily I was surprised when I listened to it the first time.
Ive heard the new album in its entirety, and the first song "Almost Ready" is very old school dino sounding… both Lou songs are great. For the most part however it sounds like latter day Dino post Lou.. which not to say that it is bad, becasue I liked those as well, but it is pretty much like I expected… Beyond is quite good, Ill say that. Im looking forward to its official release.
I was 14 a freshman in HS and it was late fall of 91. My older sister had started her freshman yr of college and she bought me a cassette of "Whatever’s Cool With Me". She had seen the band on the Green Mind tour in Columbus OH. She told me I’d probably like this band…hence getting me the tape for the holiday. Here it is 16 yrs later, Im 30 and Im still fan, and still can’t believe the original trio are back together…
Here’s the link to the "feel" song

enjoy!
I have the MP3 if you want it. I can email it to you..
I own all the official dino albums plus, "Quest", 1 single "what else is new", 1 bootleg with live footage and the unreleased song ‘hickory wind’. plus the J album, "free so free" and "martin and me".
I have listened to the new album and I must say it is quite good, having been 10 yrs since the last official album. Both Lou songs are great. Much of the stuff sounds like latter day Dinosaur (which I kinda figured), however the ‘Almost Ready’ is very YLAOM ish… my review is 3.5 stars out of 5.
