First album I bought was a cd (I just got a cd player). I bought it together with my brother and my sister advised (I mean: told) me to buy OMD – The Best Of.
Although it wasn’t completely my own choice, I like the album. I don’t play it a lot anymore, but I still like it.Hey Rosa: Falco was great, Rock me Amadeus was good and Jeanny was even better!

Hey Stefan Thought Police,
I guess I just don’t take them too seriously and I don’t think they do it theirselves. Links 2 3 4? That can’t be taken seriously.
BTW: Die Fantastischen 4 sind auch ok!!

I agree with you "Rammstein" is crap !
</STRONG><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>I must totally disagree with you! The music Rammstein makes is not always very delicate (I don’t like all the lyrics, especially in songs like "Bück dich" and "Rein raus"), but they made some really good songs. And: THEY SURE KNOW HOW TO ROCK!!
Their last album "Mutter" is one of my favorite albums of this moment and I look forward to 4 December when they play in Amsterdam.Anyway, I’m glad we don’t all like the same bands, what a boring world this would be!

Within Temptation
RacoonHey CJ,
I agree with some of the people here above: it’s very hard to find people who want to make the same music you want to make. I also tried to be in a band, but due to the moving to another town of the drummer it didn’t succeed. It’s very hard to find a drummer and even a bassplayer, it’s even harder to find a place to practice with a drum (at least at my town).
What did I do? I just started making music myself. I use a computerprogram to make the drums and the bass. I mix my guitar in it and finish it all at my computer.
I recently a digital recording studio and now it’s even easier to record all the music I make. I have no one to discuss it with (only with my twinbrother, because he sings), so I can do what I want.I agree, it’s very hard to make songs with only a bass, but if you want to make other styles of music, I think you just should.
Good luck, maybe we will hear something from you in the future.
Pim
Good topic!
Here are some pictures of me (and the rest of my two-men-band): http://www.irishwhip.com/pictures.htm
By the way: I’m supposed to be mr Im and mr Pivo is my twinbrother.
But: what does Allison look like? And Jeremiah?

Hey Alan,
Somewhere at this site I found a link to a page with a lot of tabs:
http://hem.passagen.se/animen/index.htmVery cool, yeah we know it also there, but I doubt it is complete. But hey, it’s a start!
I’ll also go with Alyssa Milano. Although I’m a bit older now, like over 10 years, I’m very glad she’s back on tv again, as a Charmed sister.
I also remember that I liked the female singer of Cock Robin (or is she Cock Robin?), but now the 80’s have passed I cannot realy explain that.
If I was some younger, I would buy some posters of Sarah Michelle Gellar and Carisma Carpenter. According to my sister it’s pretty embarrassing for a 25 year old guy to have posters like that on the wall, so this afternoon I will get rid of it. Really!

I’m still using WinMX. It sucks mostly, but sometimes it works pretty good.
I also use Kazaa, but most of the times to download videoclips. Works really good, although I can’t find any Dinosaur video’s
Two years ago I already downloaded them from this site (freakscene.net), at that time available for download. That’s all I use.

I also think WEIN should be on the Best Of, especially ’cause I get the impression he’s playing it live on almost every show. He enjoys playing it also, because after a minute or x. he’s closing his eyes and completely in trance.
So: What Else Is New on the Best Of!
Pim
– WEEZER!!!
– Fountains of Wayne
– Bad Religion (80-85)Pim
What’s wrong with the Bee Gees? I really like them. Man you gotta love those haircuts, unbelievable white teeth and highpitch vocals!!
OK, I don’t listen to it a lot, but when I hear it on the radio I don’t and won’t turn it off.On TV I always really like Beverly Hills 90210. It’s really great, I can really identify with them, because I’m the same age. And it reminds me off the years I still went to school and had no obligations at all.

JD Salinger is the man!
Another geat book was Clockwork Orange. I read it years ago. It was a very nice book, but I had some problems with the language. But at the end, when I finished after two months, it was a great book.
* Catcher in the rye (I don’t remember the author)
* All the diaries of Adrian Mole by Sue TownsendAt this moment I’m reading Dutch literature, so I don’t think you know any of that.

I definitely go with the Rivers Cuomo and the Grandaddy guy. Also a duet with Robert Smith (Just like heaven off course) would be cool as hell!
What about Neil Young?Pim
