I definitely go with the Rivers Cuomo and the Grandaddy guy. Also a duet with Robert Smith (Just like heaven off course) would be cool as hell!
What about Neil Young?Pim
On tv I’ve seen:
Feel the pain
I don’t think so
the end of Take a run at the sunAbout two years ago I downloaded a lot of video’s from this site, when it was much smaller. I have almost all the video’s, I’m just missing Take a run at the sun. Hopefully it will be back here, someday!

Very cool to read! Especially about the Dutch concerts, I recognize all the weird thing he’s telling about the Netherlands (like what he’s describing at the end at the ‘Febo’).

Hi Samwise (and the rest off course ),
I got the playlist of the Eindhoven gig. First I was standing in front of a little one, it was Mike’s. During the show everyone moved more to the right where J was standing, so I ended up at the big one (4 A4’s!). Is it so big because otherwise J can’t see it?
Before the show I saw him in the club (didn’t speak to him, because I was amazed that he was just walking there and off course I didn’t know what to say to him – sure, I knew it later, but that was too late!) and he was wearing his glasses (those were big, man). During the show he wasn’t, so or he was wearing contacts or he just couldn’t see anything.Well anyway, about the pick: I’m not very good with thick ones, I always play with .73mm or so. J’s one (although he didn’t actually played with it) I’ll just cherish.
My brother still got the drumstick but I’m working on it to get it some day, because he isn’t really a big fan.I also made some pictures with a very cheesy camera. No flashlight, it wasn’t allowed (and the camera didn’t have one). Hopefully some pictures turn out to be good. If I got something, I will place it somewhere at the internet.

One of my favs is still the Green Mind. It’s the first album I bought and when I came home I noticed it had even 2(!!) booklets in the cd. The girl also looks a bit like J, doesn’t she?
The Whatever’s cool with me-cover is also cool.

The first time I heard the solo of the live version of Kracked I thought: Oh my God! The song starts and it goes to a climax and then he start’s playing with that amazing wah-vibrato. Unbelievable.
Also the solo’s in Get Me are very good, mainly because I can play them, although not exactly like J. The same with I don’t think so.
To be honest: I like most of the solo’s, each solo has got a tribute to the song, I don’t know any solo which is there just to fill up some time.Pim
Very cool Not2amused!! The way he’s just sitting and playing solo’s at his acoustic guitar is really awesome. Hopefully there’s more where that came from!

Has anyone seen the episode of "Beverly Hills 90210" where Dylan is lying on the couch with some girl and then at the background it starts playing "Start Chopping"? Well, I did, although it was years ago. It was probably the best episode ever, or at least with the best music. When I heard it, I was really amazed. So there was probably a Dino-lover at the show!!
I think it was the only show I ever saw with Dinosaur Jr in it (Degrassi was shown also here in Holland, but at that time I never heard of Dinosaur Jr).Pim

I always bring two cd’s with me to my work. In the afternoon I turn the radio off and put the cd’s on. No co-workers here in my room, so I can rock like I’m at home!! The last few cd’s I played here are:
Flaming Lips – The Soft Bulletin (with the amazing Race for the prize and Waiting for a Superman)
Weezer – Green Album (Hip Hip indeed!)
Mercury Rev – Deserter’s Song (I haven’t heard it yet, but I read it was very good)
Nada Surf – The Proximity Effect (very good, much better then their first album)
Nightwish – Ocean Born (Finnish metal)
A lot of cd’s I made myself, with songs I downloaded from the internet/Napster/WinMx. I also listen a lot to a cd I made, with live-tracks of J Mascis & The Fog (from Peel Session at the BBC) and covers done by other artists. Very good!!

Hi Whipster!
My band Irish Whip plays more metal-like music. It’s very amateurish (?), it’s all recorded in my own bedroom. But we have a lot of fun!! My webpage: http://www.irishwhip.com
Have a look!!By the way: I saw your emailadress in your profile; those initials are almost the same as mine!! (You: prvdh, mine: pcvdh) Take that with your and mine bandname: damned we’re almost alike!
Good luck tomorrow,
Pim
Yo Fury Thing!
I will be in Eindhoven too, with my brother and a friend! Too bad you can’t take any photo’s with flashlight (although their webpage says). Maybe I bring my 1-time-useable-photograph with me and take some pictures. If there’s enough light, it might work.
I was in Amsterdam also, it was my first gig I ever saw of J Mascis. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw they were playing again here in Holland!! It will definitely rock!
Maybe CU tonight,
Pim
