I don’t like Moon, and I don’t get the jazz comparisons. Mitch Mitchell could out-jazz him anyday.
I wouldnt say he was sloppy, he’s in the middle in terms of slop as far as I’m concerned. You can hear him fuck up in the middle of the Lemon Song solo though.
No one appreciates how important John Paul Jones was to Led Zeppelin.
I like their first four albums, when I’m in the mood. I haven’t listened to them in a long time though.
I was a little too young for grunge (I was born in 88), so I look at it more objectively then people who grew up with it…which might explain my dislike for bands like Pearl Jam.
Grunge is fine and all, but I’ve recently realized that I really hate Pearl Jam.
It’s hard for me to make playlists, I don’t know why.
But right now I’m listening to Ween.
Sometimes she played bass, sometimes she played guitar, sometimes she just sang. They were doing double bass playing on some songs.
I’ve been playing probably for 3 to 4 years.
Sonic Youth. It was a great show, but the opening band (Be Your Own Pet) wasn’t that great. Mark Ibold played bass with SY and I heard people talking about Malkmus and Nastanovitch being in the crowd that night.
I fucking hate the radio, but thanks for posting it anyway.
I don’t remember exactly what it was that made me want to play guitar, but it was probably Weezer’s Blue Album…since that’s what got me into music.
As a guitar player I’d say in addition to J, I rip off D. Boon, Malkmus, and Don Pyle alot.
My friend got a really cool blue Squier Supersonic recently. I’m jealous.
I’ve heard of both of them but never checked them out. I’ve been meaning to.
Yea, they did live. It’s pretty cool.
