What do you think of the Bergman Rock Album? At first I was a bit disappointed, only really enjoying the old songs -such as help the band, but it has grown on me considerably after some spins.

I agree. I was sceptical at first cuz a big part of what I like about Bob Hund is Thomas Öberg’s lyrics… obviously it’s not the same when he writes in english… but I like it more than I expected.

The only Swedish bands I’ve been listening to lately all have names starting with the letter B:

Bob Hund (yup, they still kick bottoms)
Bergman Rock (Bob Hund with English lyrics)
Bear Quartet (yup, they sounded quite a bit like Dino in the beginning)
Broder Daniel (yup, I like the new album too, despite the fact that they can almost play their instruments now)

Can’t say I buy lots of vinyls these days, but I still have a pile of them that I listen to regularly so I definitely need a turntable. Fortunately my 13-or-maybe-14-year-old Philips turntable is still alive and kicking. Would be sweet to have a really high quality player but I’m always too damn lazy and/or poor to replace the old one before it passes on.. and if I did that I got a hunch that my 14" tv from the same era would feel lost and commit suicide which perhaps would not be too much to weep over but in a silly hippie way I feel cool to be the only one I know that has a tv w/o remote control.

I’m sure your husband to be will feel like that luckiest man in the universe regardless of outfits (but hey, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind # 3 8) )
