Simply cuz on the site I linked to above it says about the Blizzard 7": ‘Första skivsläppet pÃ¥ bröderna Matt och Johns Sticky Records, baserat i Leigh-On-Sea i England.’, which translates into ‘First release on the brothers Matt and John’s Sticky Records, based in Leigh-On-Sea, England’. Boys as well as most of Hitchcock’s solo/RH+Egyptians stuff.Btw, after Magazine broke up Devoto was in a band called Luxuria that put out two pretty cool albums (anyone remember that creepy video for ‘The beast box is dreaming’ ?), but that’s the last I’ve heard of him.

The Hellacopters definitely rock the most of the Swedish bands, but it could be worth checking out some other stuff, wouldn’t surprise me if you’d dig Soundtrack of our lives for instance. Check them out live if you get the chance, they’re awesome and the singer looks wicked beyond belief.

Joy DivisionThe debut album ‘The comfort of madness’ of a band called Pale Saints from the same shoe gazing era as Ride, Lush and Slowdive was pretty damn good IMHO, so I throw in them too, although their later stuff were not as good.

I mentioned in this thread that International Noise Conspiracy has recorded a version of Damned’s Smash It Up. Well, apparently I should not be trusted when posting with a fever (I’ve been sick with a hell sent flue for 3 days now) . INC do have a tune called Smash It Up on their album Survival Sickness. However, it’s their own tune and NOT a cover of that Damned classic, but for some insane reason I got the impression that it was. Up ’til today, the one and only time I had heard it I was like ‘hmm, this is an odd version of Damned’s Smash It Up, don’t sound much like the original at all … ‘. Well .. duh!, go figure it didn’t![img]images/smiles/converted/dizzy.gif[/img] [img]images/smiles/converted/cwm12.gif[/img]

Meshuggah is swedish. As far as I can tell they’re pretty decent hardcore bands both of them, but I can’t say I’ve listened to them all that much since it’s not really my scene.
