K7, the whole idea behind “socialized healthcare” is that everyone is guaranteed healthcare, no matter what. Are you saying that such as system cannot work, or what is the issue? No system is perfect, but all in all it works just fine in many countries (one of them being Sweden, where I lived for my first 30 years or so).
It’s not more expensive… with privatized healthcare a huge portion of the money goes to insurance companies and lawyers, money that could be better spent on doctors, nurses, medical equipment, medication… i.e. stuff that actually cures people.
To me healthcare is a human right. Just like everyone should have the same right to freedom of expression, or equality before the law, everyone should have the same right to get adequate medical treatment when falling ill or being injured.
Cool, hadn’t seen it before.
Yuppiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!! Had almost given up hope they would ever stop by in Prague, but now they’ll be playing in Palac Akropolis which is one block / 150 meters from the flat I’m currently living in
Tickets only Kc500 (less than $30) and I already got them!

In my humblie opinion (being a trained scientist myself), a true scientist like Stephen Hawking deserves tons of more respect and credibility than any fucking catholic hypocrite pope:
In his essay, Dawkins paraphrased the Pope’s statement: “In plain language, there came a moment in the evolution of hominids when God intervened and injected a human soul into a previously animal lineage.â€

I like this part:
Luckily Mascis was around the house; he wasn’t on tour, and so every once in a while with one of the songs I would hear something where we really just needed some shredding lead, and I would go downstairs and find him, and he’d be, like, "Yeah, okay…I’ll be up in a second." And he’d come up and plug his guitar in, and sit on the couch, really slouched down. So we asked him, "Do you want to hear the song and sort of work on it for a while" and he was like, "No, it’s okay, just play me the section" [laughs]. And I was like, "Why don’t I play you the song?" and so I’d play it and he’d just rip all through the whole song. And I’d say, "Okay, here comes he section" and I would count it in, and he would really rip on the section, as if he wrote the goddamned thing. I mean, it was the most harmonically, melodically astounding lead guitar throw-downs. So I had him do that on three or four turns, and it was really sweet. That’s a real bonus on this record.

No big expectations, but I’m going to see it

I’m partially working from home.
The interactions and office chat I would probably miss too, had it been that I only worked from home.
The major disadvantage, however, is that it is sometimes bloody hard to get things done. It’s VERY tempting to think "yeah I’m gonna get started with that right after I’ve read the news… or right after I’ve done the dishes (in those unfortunate cases when doing dishes seems more tempting than to actually do a work task you are paid to do)… and before you know it it’s evening and you realise that it may be a good idea to go out and get some fresh air after staying inside all day…

In my mind, Graham was always less annoying than Damon Albarn
