Thought I might share…
I eat healthy. Including chicken, beef, and other’s that cast a shadow.
I however, with all this tofu and soy products immatating meat products, i see being a vegan is not all that hard. I’m not going to try it but I try to eat more veggies and fruit than meat.
Peace…

I look forward to all your posts. BTW, john bonham is the greatest drummer. Kudos to you, you ROCK also my man. I got two of your sticks. They both are dented pretty bad but one is split and it’s more dagger shaped.
?’s for ya. What type of kit did you use during the ‘More Light’ tour? Did you also use that kit during the ‘Hand It Over’ tour in 97? That set is very nice. After the 97 tour and now, I still want a set up, EXACTLY like that. I came close in 98, but had to pawn her off because funds were low and bills were do…
Any way, hope you all are healing well.
READY TO HEAR THE JAM AGAIN.

Oh, it’s an original J tune

Also on the demo did you notice that the backing vocals were not on the song More Light at that point Pretty cool stuff</STRONG><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Thanks Jeremiah, too hard… too cool!
I did notice the background lyrics were not on More Light in my earlier CD. I also noticed that it is easier to pick up what J is singing in the earlier CD. Going back to an earlier topic i must reitereate. More Light is a jamming, kicking, soul jumping, and powering tune. Love IT!

ELJ, just a CD player. Did you not buy some bass, mids and highs. Man, I’ll tell you. You thrown in some of that music in a car stereo that has bass and you ARE ROCKING. Sorry to offend you if you don’t or if you don’t care for that sort of thing.
Peace.

Alice in Chains
Tool
Sweet 75 (chris novaselic was in this band in spring 97)

ELJ, I saw the show in 95 at Coca Cola Roxy theater in Atlanta GA. Everbeen there? I tell you that place was jam packed. And LOUD! I would easily say 400-500 fans. I don’t know why Kyuss, but sure glad they were there. I believe that’s when I picked up a new band, sound that I liked in music. The tour was the Without A Sound Tour. And the first time other than Lolapolluza (ms) I really saw J up close and personal. I remember bringing my girlfriend, she wasn’t in to the bands, she just knew I was burning down before and after. I don’t know, maybe she did love me… to much info. Any way, j starts off with feel the pain. And the band start off, but not in time. They stop, and J is barely laughing. He says "Alright." Then the rest of the show was a power house. I’m lucky to have that show on cassette tape but have erased over the intro of feel the pain and about 10 minutes of the start of the show. Sorry to ramble, that show started all the hoopla for me. Any way, I don’t know why Kyuss.
"hey, look over your shoulder."
"hey, it’s me getting older."What a memory!
Peace.

Cool find. Chills me thinking about it.
Hey salamiguy,
Two things; one, good topic and two, you must have went on a CD run. Those can really wipe out a budget. When I need a "fix" I can easily spend 75 bones. Are you near a used CD dealer? there are some great finds there if you can find a shop. I got Kyuss–Queens of the Stone Age at one in Columbia, CD kicks.
Recently I bought a video MTV’s Underground (1989) just because of Dinosaur Jr. The video has the music video of "Little Fury Things." It’s pretty cool… the video is shot like a home video black and white with a kind of harpo marx silent movie tecqnique. The some editing has been done to create "preschool" pencil drawings over top the video… It really is coooool. Glad I found the find.
Peace.
July 6, 2001 at 6:18 pm in reply to: Need some help from you guys (name of cover song performed o #52904I’ve got my hands on a J Mascis CD last year before More Light was released. The CD was bestowed upon me from a loyal Dinosaur fan who aproached me and said, "nick, ever heard of the Fog?" I was on to him from the jump. I denied but quickly retorted. "J?" Indeed, right then and there we walked off to his car where we sat inside and listened to the wonderful jmascisesque sound. Anyway, he gave me the CD. Well, this was early summer 2000. Later that year I was fortunate enough to see a show in Caroborro, NC. I bought More Light then. As I was listening to this CD I was comparing songs to the CD my friend gave me. Most of the songs that were on the loaner was on the More Light CD. Except for two. In early Summer 2000, I knew one of those songs, "Leaving on a Jet Plane" by John Denver. But there is this other one I’m trying to figure out. What is the name of the tune and is the tune original mascis. Well, all I can offer you all is the chorus and the chorus is much repeated.
"I just wanna tell. I just wanna tell my friends. I just wanna tell, I just wanna tell my friends. But its too hard… its too hard… its too hard. I just wanna tell, I just wanna tell my friends"
On and on this goes. Don’t get me wrong. The song kicks, and I like it very much. I like the sounds coming off the guitar. Especially the well placed "screeching."
I ask the boards for help, what is the name of this mystic tune?
Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Anyone?
Peace.
