I have to agree with you TOTALLY trensidoh on your selection of rhythm sections… lou and murph should be thrown into that group… I wish to add a rhythm section if you don’t mind… LESH and KRYSIEKMAN and HEART (The Greatful Dead).

If you can’t dig it, skip it.

I don’t listen to this song to much as you can tell. However I’ve got a video that captures this songs powerful drum beat perfectly. HEHE!

Yeah the Stones, oooh how about Under My Thumb. I have to disAGREE mic doesn’t sound like j but some stones would be okay for him to cover. I would much rather hear J cover something from Cream than the Stones. How about, Sunshine of Your Love of White Room, or the Tale of Brave Ulysses?

Here is another Stones tune, dun-nu, nu-nu-nu-nuh, dun-na, dun-na-na-na. Cause we all can’t get enought of it!

I know this topic is for "song" I would most like to hear J cover, but hey now, I will list many.

Phish — Harry Hood
—just to say he did.

Grateful Dead — Mississippi Half Step, GDTRFB (Going Down the Road Feeling BAD), Me and My Uncle, but any one on the many would do!
—just to see if he can.

Bob Dylan — All along the Watchtower
—just to join those greats that have

here are a couple for kicks

Bangles — Vacation
Everybody Wants to Rule the World — Tears for Fears — he could really add something to this song.
Lynard Skynard — Call Me the Breeze, Give me Back my Bullets, That Smell
—he could show his "red neck" side
Elvis Presley–Blue Suede Shoes
—*shrugs the shoulders and chuckles*
Led Zepplin–Ocean, Dazed and Confused, Tangerine
—he says Bonham is his favorite drummer (I agree with j)
There are many, many more….

Thanks Another Girl for the hook up to the link. It would have taken me(us) hours to find the link and would have probably went blind doing such a thing. My question was Did J and Uma date and still the answer is "Nobody knows." Honestly, I will say they did not, i believe the fact sway in that direction. J seem to be laughing at us all in this one, I knew he could laugh. Thanks again. <BLOCKQUOTE><font>quote

Okay, I think I can share in this one:

1. More Light – J Mascis and the Fog (if I needed to mention) A CD of great energy for me. My player was stuck on Same Day for about a week, now its Does the Kiss Fit, some times Ground me to you kicks in followed by Ammaring. It’s just a wonderful album, sorry to my other dinosaur cd’s that have been put on the back burner because of More Light.

2. 80’s compilation from Napster. Cruel Summer (Karate Kid) by BanannaRama is my summer song this year and on the CD, also in tow are De Comasar — don’t know the artist but all you over 25 should know the song. Got to have Rumors, then Sister Christian by Night Ranger, Message in a Bottle — Police, then Josie by The Outfield, and of course Rock the Casbah by The Clash, and about a half dozen more…

3. Ben Harper – Burning to Shine
It’s a musician a friend chic turned me on too. He really does jam and not scared to drag his songs out for over 5 minutes, which is good and bad.

4. Keeblin– Dinosaur Jr.
Live CD got from a trade, great songs. Feel the Pain, Get me and What Else is New. Right ON!!!! Thanks DJM.

5. Built to Spill — Keep it a Secret.
I picked up this band in 99 after seeing them rock on HBO’s Reverb. The really Jam out. The Plan is the song. Broken Chairs, not sure of the title but "you’re wrong when…", and another I am not sure of the title but has a jam before the words begin #6 I guess.

So much for that list… I only get to listen to music when I am in my ride. My brother has my stereo at his house, there are no speakers on my computer at work, and I never get on the CPU because it always late when I get there. Unlike Another girl and Mattman, I need to get some sleep because work consumes me. I have litte time for other things. Spare time, I wish. I side with Jeremiah, I am jealous of you twos down time… Ahhh School life was great. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of any celeb dino fans… but I do wonder if Uma Thurmond is a fan of J.

Didn’t they go to the same high school? Did they date?

Can any one shed ‘More Light’ of the subject?

If all the above is true, can you blame him that most of his songs are about a love lost or a dismantled relationship or a cheating and distrusting partner… she’s hot! Indeed, his songs make you feel sorry for him, not to mention sorry for you if you can relate. I know I can relate to his almost every word…

I would ask him if I could play a couple "original" songs of mine through his fender jazzmaster, the one with all the crazy little stickers on it, powered through his Marshall amps… Then I would ask if he would jam getme and thumb with me while I was on that clear blue drum kit of George’s. Finally, I would ask him if he smoked fatty kind nuggets…

Jeremiah, I think this topic is starting to move away from dino songs covered by other artists, so it may want to be moved. You decision. However, some really good stories came out of the topic, at least for me it is great know I’m not the only one who caught his/her car on fire…
