Yeah, I read a bit about him in a Vonnegut book. He lost his mind in the 60’s and wrote his own book about it, and eventually became some a doctor in Milton, Mass. after graduating from Harvard.

In Timequake, Kurt points to a time when his alter ego, Kilgore Trout, dies on labor day in 2001, at the age of 84. I guess he wrote himself into it.
