Son Volt rocks. I heard their new song again on Conan the other night. It’s a pretty good single.
This new show might be a hit for me. I don’t watch any other hour long shows so I really have anything to compare it too. I thought the first 11 minutes of the pilot was really good. I will see the rest March 15th. The only complaint I have about the show is that it could have a better name, or a story slightly less similar to………any detective, hospital or lawyer show. Jeff Goldblum plays a detective in it. It’s supposed to be humorous and intriguing.
Quote:ive heard a number of people say that and i dont think i really feel that "almost ready"Almost Ready is a good listen. It seems to be one of the simplest songs I’ve heard on any of it, and kinda reminds me of leaving on a jetplane. J’s so brave.
Hi Max.
I think one of their tunes was on Fort Apache cd. That’s a nice compilation.

Quote:Someone else hear that Crumble has a definite New Order feel to it, while I Got Lost (especially the drums+bass) is very Joy Divison-ish?Yeah it’s got that atmospheric vibe of JD’s song, Atmosphere, even cooler. He left plenty of space in there for your mind to wonder but not get bored. Crumble’s one of my faves too. Kracked, he played I Got Lost acoustic the other night at the industry meeting? here.
I love the album, they’re great.
I like Lightning bulb, gotta nice archaic 60’s paint it black sound.

RadioHEAD – High And Dry
That’s great news. I requested this station out of Philadelphia play some Dino, and they played it twice. Feel the Pain and Almost Ready. It sounded great in there between catherine wheel and modest mouse….
head automatica – solid gold telephone
Quote:yeah i never really put that much thought into his song lyricsI don’t either, but after hearing them so much I like to imagine that there is more to it.
Quote:"Were you riding the chair alone? Hey lady, where’s your friend?"I think he may mean the chair that takes you up the ski slope.
interesting interpretation. I agree with you, except I don’t think it’s about any girl in particular. I also believe it’s not right to get wrapped up in meanings but to try to focus on experiencing the music in your own way. Of course, that’s hard for me cause I have no life. I’d like to attempt to sum up this album as you have.
XTC – oranges and lemons
generation x – ready steady go
