yours isn’t really a helpful post, but the original news item on dinojr.com did say that the online ticketing site will have "an allotment of tickets", which is usually how the band-sponsored pre-sales go. that means that in a week or two, tickets will go on-sale via the venue directly and/or via the venue’s chosen ticket agent (usually ticketmaster or ticketweb).
in my case, for the philadelphia show, i may just decide that the abusive shipping policy of the pre-sale site is too much, and hold out for buying them at the TLA box office (which sells electric factory tickets). if i get left out, i guess ‘oh well’.

i hate will call tickets. No… they send them to you in the mail.
More accurately, they send them to you by extremely overpriced and unnecessary 2-day UPS air shipping.

The 28.50 for the cost of the show was higher then I thought it would be, but I did not think it was too bad. The 4.50 service fee is on par with a ticketbastard fee (but they add on a convienance fee on top of the service fee too). So i was still on board and i was about to buy, but the only option for getting my ticket for this show was UPS delivery….. another 7.50. There was no way I saw to select will call or normal mail. I must be doing something wrong.Kinda disapointed i was hoping to get my tickets ordered today
I’m right with you. I actually think it’s pretty outrageous. First, the raw price of the ticket is STEEP. But fine, they want to cash in and the Pixies got away with charging high prices, so Dino can too. I can get past it. But to have the ticketing agency ONLY allow you to buy the tickets via UPS for $7-$8 an order, that’s just ridiculous, borderline abusive. I sent them (the ticketing website) a feedback email about it, and they responded with a very bland statement that UPS is the only feasible option because it allows them to track receipt. Well, for all their faults, ticketmaster and ticketweb ship tickets out over regular US Mail all the time. I would encourage anyone who feels ripped off by it to email at http://dinosaurjr.baselineticketing.com/corp/contact.php”>http://dinosaurjr.baselineticketing.com … ontact.php or info@baselineticketing.com
Maybe also send email to the band contacts listed at dinosaurjr.com
I’m all for those guys cashing in finally for the good music, but be reasonable.
